Redbull, those are first footprints in the snow. A top alpinist makes them. I only when everything is bare. In winter mountains I'm just not up to it. Best regards and good luck!

For footprints in snow you really don't need to be an alpinist! Plenty of them e.g. from chamois and they don't have alp. Boots either

End of August we met on a night hike under full moon at Prgarca, he came behind us like a youngster without headlamp and took about 4h to the top, when we were just climbing to Mali Triglav he was already greeting us with signals as he was descending to Kredarica... mežikanje

It was an honor to be there today at his 1000th ascent. We reached the summit in fantastic winter conditions. More with pics tomorrow. Still celebrating at Kredarica. nasmeh

I was also there today with Triglav friends who accompanied Franjo - handsome guy from Mojstrana who lit 80 candles on his cake 6 days ago - to our Father. Mr. Franjo Potočnik fulfilled one of many goals today and added THOUSANDTH ascent to Triglav to his soul.
Surely he hasn't spoken his last word by far, as in soul and looks he's still a real tough guy.
Franjo, it's an honor for me too to be with you today on top of Slovenia.

I also congratulate Franjotu on thousandth ascent. Surprised me the fact said on TV news, that he first stood on Triglav when 65 years old. Incredible.

Never too late or too early, it's just the right time ?.
I know a guy Joža who only at retirement started hiking in mountains at all. He set a goal to hike all peaks over 2000m in Slovenia + 1500ers later and realized all in a good ten years. What he couldn't climb alone, he took a guide. Once he asked me: Do you know where Votli vrh is by us? Of course I guessed only the location of Trentarske gore, the peak itself I didn't know how to locate exactly.
