I don't particularly like what Dejan has prepared either. But I remembered a poor guy who lost a bet and had to carry jogi from Zadnjica to Kriške pode, we met him on the descent (over 20 years ago).

Dejan now you got an idea for your January birthday. Mirjam and I wish you all the best and many nice ascents to our peaks especially safe steps in the mountains. If you decide for jogi tell us, we'll carry it up together then descend with it to the valley. Joke...

Despite the bad forecast there were quite a few hikers on Triglav. On Plemenice on Thursday I met a larger group. Rain caught us. Luckily it stopped soon. Thunder was heard nearby. It was quite windy. I waited about five minutes before entering the wall until the wind eased a bit. This year it has soaked me several times already.
the weather was more April-like than August-like1
The summit of Plemenic is already visible.2

Last train to Mojstrana left exactly 51 years ago (not minutes). You missed it big time.
From Mojstrana to Aljažev dom in Vrata it's a solid 10km. From Peričnik on you can avoid road and go footpath.
Via Tominškova huge crowds go every day to Staničev dom and directly to Kredarica.
No special features on the path.
Good luck!

We watched it from Kredarica. Waiting for October when you meet barely a couple hikers.velik nasmeh

Herd instinct. When you go up only once in Jan or Feb it doesn't occur to you to go in August.

@ljaneja

If it continues like this in a few decades the crowds in Jan or Feb won't be any less than in July or Aug since path to tower will be dry and bare mrk pogled

I went first time this year mid-July on Saturday, of course lots of people went up, but you avoid the crowd.. simple right?

To me personally seems that sometimes "veterans" just scare non-knowers about very demanding world where actually you walk 2/3 path on flat trail

Denist, sometimes when warning the point isn't if 2/3 path is easy or not but if the person can manage the hardest parts.

Of course at end of day everyone responsible for self. Plus everyone must judge alone when too much and turn back and who can do that can take "veterans" advice with a pinch of salt.

I'll heat up this debate about Triglav summer visitors too. I also don't like crowds in the mountains and visit them in fall and winter or at earlier hours, most often I'm already going down when most are just ascending, I visit Triglav 1x or 2x a year to check current fitness for more adrenaline climbs, e.g. Loška stena, Prevčev stolp, Vevnica, North Triglav face, Amphitheater and similar, there are quite a few in our beautiful mountains. But I understand most people aim for our highest peak, especially foreigners and of course in summer when conditions are best. I simply skip summer mountain visits and those days rather build fitness on home Veliki Javornik, in fall full throttle to Julians. But I'm worried how many visits our mountain can take re waste or pollution, as number of people in mountains grows yearly. Good luck all!
