Interesting: Anžeta Čokl was fined by TNP supervisors because she slept at Rjavina, thousands of "Czechs" sleeping in bivouacs, tents by huts and on parking lots they don't see. They can fine you if your car is parked outside parking (e.g. under Veliki Črlovec). On Triglav circus is happening (thank God other mountains aren't media interesting). But this isn't from today - remember e.g. Tof's feats. And this happens on top of mountain that is national symbol.

...short video showing Triglav without Aljaž tower (if someone didn't manage to see live )...9/9/2018... I have to admit it's not the same feeling when you reach the top (my opinion of course). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LvH4wuKDs4

@ljubitelj_gora Seems to me I'm not the authority to lecture someone what to wear or carry with them, such things have been done since time immemorial, why don't you go watch up there what's happening yourself? Triglav is very popular 'peak' quite accessible with mighty name, so all sorts happen, for joke or showing off..

Today's visit to Očak with my two sons was especially nice for me. Both first-timers didn't mind the missing tower. Even more, they promised to go see it next time when it's back in place. No excessive crowds today, so we enjoyed even more. Regards

Red Bull picture is interesting, the remark was only that it fits this forum as much as the previous one don't mind it.... pity you deleted your comments, now it's out of context. Otherwise you're a super pumped mountaineer, in my view just a bit too picky. Judging by the thumbs I think that this is not only my opinion..... Good luck in the valley and mountains!!

Garmont, did your "first-timers" also ride the Mali Triglav ridge like their four colleagues 240 years ago?

A bit late, visited Očak over the weekend. Saturday evening in fog missed the creaking of the flagpole... Sunday early morning for sunrise, we accompanied two who climbed Triglav for the first time. Carried Daret's accordion in the backpack so he played at the top. Priceless experience. The tower is really missing and we too will come to see the renovated one,

@mountain lover - precisely you found yourself telling others how to keep order on Triglav. When one meets you in the mountains, you stick to the shade so no one sees you

Bojan, you've well immortalized 'topless' at the Triglav summit. Nine years ago Ekar wanted to move the tower to the museum, some of us concretely opposed him. Sadly my banner, which I attached to the flagpole on 8.8.2009, didn't last until the next day. (Ekar people took it down)

@lijaneja
I was up there nine years ago too, with Igor, and I tell you openly, until the tower is back I won't sleep peacefully

@zippo: you're very wrong, first I don't go to Triglav anymore because of mass tourism and disrespect, second on Sunday there were 29 of us on Šitna glava and Mojstrovka and the company doesn't bother me at all if it's so serious.

Now they'll find out the tower is so damaged it wouldn't last long in nature. So it stays in the museum. They will put a duplicate of stainless sheet metal and, when you get used to it, "there will be peace up there". Hope they make a bigger one. Best. J.

Typical with us. We let things decay for so long - bridges, houses, castles, roads, schools - until they're unusable, then we build new ones.

Hello mountaineers!
This weekend if better forecast heading from Vrata to Vrbanova spica and Triglav. Just how is road from Mojstrana to Aljažev dom open for cars? Best thanks, mountaineering greeting!

The road to Vrata is normally drivable, parking fee is charged. I don't know when they start collecting it, in July around 5. It seems to me, judging by the posts here (I've never been to Vrbanova špica myself) but was on Rjavina in July, that it might be better to start from Kot and then detour to Vrbanova špica and then on to Triglav. If you go from Vrata, you'll have to go back from Staničev dom towards the valley for Vrbanova špica.

Today Rudno polje-Vodnik-Planika-via Gorjanska to Triglav (without the tower )- then to Dolič and via Velska dolina back to Rudno polje. On the Triglav ridge a column, on Gorjanska much less. The path via Velska dolina pure peace. Didn't meet anyone, only heard birdsong and marmot whistles.

12.9.2018 in Vrata already completely full in the morning/night, as well as later on Triglav. Probably similar to peak season. All Slovenes looking/photographing the tower that's not there (but the crowd had their miniatures) and lots of foreigners too. But, given the just finished cleanup action, I was surprised by a really huge pile of cans and broken glass a bit above the point where the paths via Prag and Tominškova meet. Partly covered with rocks. Via Plemenice no issues, upper part below Triglav much more secured than years ago. Path via Prag in noticeably worse condition - erosion on steep parts.
