To Triglav?

Has anyone traversed the path from Planika over Mali Triglav to the summit in the last days? If from Kredarica there's no big issue, it might be even better here regarding snow...? Just some narrow gully with fixed cable in between...

Yesterday 25.6.2021 we ascended Triglav via Plemenice and descended via Prag back to Vrata. Up to the hole there are still quite a few snow patches that actually make the ascent on scree terrain easier. The climbing section from the hole to the western Triglav plateau is completely bare. Further without winter gear no go. Ascent to the summit via Triglavska škrbina is mostly bare too, but at two spots the path is fully covered where we had to put on crampons again for a few meters and take ice axe in hand. Summit and descent to Kredarica also completely bare. Descent via Prag has some snow patches that are melting fast in these hot days and can be bypassed or crossed carefully. To sum up the route is normally passable but winter gear is mandatory for ascent via Plemenice.

Regards

How's the path from Krma to Kredarica now? Can one go without crampons already?

We're almost leaning into the seventh month and those who ask such questions shouldn't even think about high mountains, especially when it comes to Kredarica
Good luck

Went today from Krma over Kurica past Planika and Mali Triglav to the top. If I go again next week, I'd take crampons again because it's really easier and safer to step over the remaining snowfields.
I'd avoid Kurica, especially for the descent; I did it already today.
If someone slips here God forbid, they'll land right on that boulder.1

On Sunday my roommate and I visited dad again. From Krma we started still in the dark. Snow at the start above Kredarica and on Triglav top just enough for snowballing. To Kredarica also some snow patches that don't cause problems anymore. Weather for ascent was ideal. Here and there mists descending, just enough to watch visibility for photographing views. Visit moderate given weather and extended weekend. At the hut on return beer in the sun which already warmed properly. In short, Triglav as Triglav.nasmehmežikanje

@redbull You almost died on Triglav so stop lecturing. If you have no constructive comments just shut up, someone else will answer them.

Dodovodo

Redbull's experiences count for something too, right?

@tulipan
I see from the pictures he posts, he's learned a lot from the accident (sarcasm)... Still has wife and kid... And then comes lecturing who can and who can't into high mountains...

Well Dodovodo sorry. Crampons, ice axe in backpack all summer and it'll be good. Don't look at my pics too much, sometimes not good to compare, read only reports. Still curious what's wrong with pics? (Except Raduha, on well-known paths routes you can afford a bit more, if not turn back)
good luck

Today on the path Krma - Kurica - Konjsko sedlo - Planika - Triglav - Kredarica - Krma.
We didn't use winter gear, snow over Kurica bypassed on the left side, enough space by the rock, only one bigger step (small jump) needed. At Planika we made a detour left then back right to the path, from the chimney onwards the path is bare. On the top the main wind was today.jezik

Maybe someone knows if winter gear is still needed for the Krma - Kredarica path? Thanks!

Hello! What about the path from Planika to the top? Maybe someone knows if there's any problematic snow field left?

Santino6. 07. 2021 08:21:05
@Nejc787 krma-Kredarica-triglav passable without winter gear. Under Kurica bigger snow field you bypass, climb on the left later cross some non-problematic snow fields. Lp
