How does the landslide under Tosec look?
That protection on the ascent from below is probably just for photo session?

The landslide, where the signs are you mean, has been normally passable for many years.
For a good souvenir photo, sometimes you have to switch a bit. wink

Yesterday via path Vrata - Tominškova pot - Kredarica - Triglav - to Dolič and via Kugyeva polica back to Stanič hut - Za Cmirom and in between also to Nad Kuhinjo špica - Vrata.
There were quite a lot of people, but once I turned onto Kugyeva polica, I could enjoy solitude, at Dom Valentina Staniča I stick out my tongue jezik

, hut already closed, and descent and intermediate ascent passed in solitude. If there was a crowd at the top of Nad Kuhinjo špica, we'd have to stand in line for photos. biggrin

Via Plemenice to the top, overnight at Kredarica. Descended past Vodnik hut over Jezerski pass to Krstenica pasture then to Blato pasture. Path maintained, from Sfinge onwards watch your step, some scree by the path. Secured section fixed.

Thursday was the ideal day for Triglav visit. No clouds, wind or crowds on top. Start at Aljažev dom in Vrata. Up and down via path over Prag.

Some pics from Triglav. Yesterday. Winter conditions. Quite icy. Most aids out, not quite all. Went from Planika direction and back. Quite foggy, diffuse. Otherwise no issues. At Planika met two guys who barricaded broken window at hut. Apparently someone bent the bars too.

Yesterday's ascent to Triglav offered us proper, for Taiwanese scary winter conditions, but with guides they were swift, that's how to hike mountains.
On summit also cycling mountaineering ski expedition from Trieste, on 120th anniv SPDT Slovenskega planinskega društva Trst, members of alpin section climbed mountain. To Triglav from Trieste without foreign aid, self-supported. From Trieste bikes, foot skis 120 km to Triglav top!!!! Respect.

Otherwise path from valley no problems, snow starts Mali polje 1450 m sinks to ca 2000 m. Ski over Kurica surprisingly good.

Hi, has anyone been up there recently? I assume the road to Krma is still closed, does anyone know if you can get to Kovinarska? I'll just have a warm-up to the barrier velik nasmeh

Near Kovinarska they threw logs across the road. Possible they already removed them yesterday.

Update:
They removed the logs yesterday, but there's a truck on the road about 100m before Kovinarska, they have a cable rigged for lowering logs, so can't get past by car. Best to park in Kurja vas and 5km warm-up to the barrier mežikanje

Sheriffs apparently like to patrol a lot, they were in the valley on Saturday too.

Otherwise conditions yesterday solid, dry to Prgarca, I went a bit to check Kurica, but thaw, snow collapsing ahead, not much fun. From about 2000m snow persists, but as said it's pretty rotten and collapses, the calvary is real calvary, two steps up one down. Weather top.
At Kredarica two guides each with their pair of tourists, and two individuals we kept company to the newly arrived meteorologist and soldier. Entry to the wall wet, traverses mix of drytooling and poking into wet snow, but everything holds very well, most pitons already out. Ridge snowy and nice, tower except flag resting in blanket nasmeh

Does anyone know the current conditions from Vrata valley via Tominsko and Kredarica to Triglav?
Is Tominsko path entirely dry? From end of Frrata to Kredarica hut how's the condition

I'm going to Triglav in about two weeks. I'm interested in what the conditions are like? I just want to find out how it is since I'm not sure how much snow there'll be in two weeks.
