If there are “many of them” in the gully, you're on a bowling alley and not in good conditions. nasmeh

Hello!
On Thursday I plan to take the route from Krma. Since I've never started from here before, I'm curious how parking is on weekdays at the parking lot at the end of the Krma valley?

How early does the parking lot fill up now during the season (weekdays, not weekend)? Is there between 4 and 5 a.m. still enough space to park the car nicely and safely somewhere, so you're not left only with spots more exposed to traffic? Would you advise arriving at the starting point a bit earlier than I mentioned, so there won't be a parking problem?

Thanks for the help and best regards

Probably OK. Two weeks ago at 7am I left the car right at the penultimate parking, without driving to the end of the valley, and walked the rest. Penultimate parking was 50% full, last one 95%, some dubious or muddy spots free. I decided quite right. The tour extension seemed insignificant to me.

At 5am THU (even if nice weather) no problems with parking right at valley end. Good luck!

Hello! I have one serious question for all of you.
I've been living and working the 9th year in Austria in Graz.

Haven't been to our Triglav for 1.5 years since I no longer have a private car.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME, HOW COULD I GET TO TRIGLAV BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT FROM Ljubljana??

Can't find any regular line to Pokljuka, to Stara Fužina or to Savica Waterfall...

Thanks in advance to whoever has some exact info how I could get to Triglav by public transport now in October...

Best Uroš Anželj

Almost every hour (from 6:00) a bus runs from LJ to Ukanc at the end of Lake Bohinj, the ride takes 2h.

Another option:
Train from Ljubljana at 4.40, arrival in Boh. Bistrica at 6.40 (change at Jesenice). Then bus at 7.00 from Boh. Bistrica train station to Stara Fužina and Srednja vas.

Many thanks to all three for the info.

So I'll go by train to LJ, then to Jesenice, then to Boh Bistrica and onwards by bus to Stara Fužina.

Since I've never gone to Triglav from the Bohinj side, checking if I'm correctly informed.

From the bus station in Stara Fužina, I reach the chapel right away, from there a marked path leads to Hudičev most and further to Koča v Vojah, then towards Velem polje and Vodnikov dom...

Thanks again for the info.

Yes, at BUS station in Stara Fužina, right before bridge, big signs (left direction) for Korita Mostnice, Blato, Vogar, Voje, ... Just follow main road, it will take you in 10min past parking and barrier where park for e.g. trip to Vogar. You follow asphalt road uphill and watch signs for Voje, as road forks left to Vogar, Blato, right to Voje. Prepare for quite long not very interesting walk on Voje valley road. You'll go past mountain home in Vojah, then before end of valley watch out, path to Triglav or Vodnikov dom branches left from road. There is sign but can miss it if daydreaming on road.velik nasmeh

Agree as turbo wrote. Easiest and simplest variant is direct BUS from Lj.

Don't forget path from Stara Fuzina quite long, day short, huts closed.
You have two more options, namely www.prevoz.org and some FB group for joint ascent (or at least transport). Good luck

No option to go still in September? Until 29.9 the bus runs to Vogar-Blato junction (https://promet.bohinj.si/prevozi/), and dom Planika should be still open in September.

I was this summer for the first time on this path to Triglav. Yeah to Vodnikov dom it's quite long (normal walking 4 hours) otherwise nice and varied path quite steep from Sapa Mostnic onwards. But very well marked so you almost can't miss anything.

Turbo is quite right probably bus better choice. Written train link anyway only weekdays. Of delays (especially) last year not even mention.
Good luck and best

How is parking now on Pokljuka at marked parkings? Is by barracks still free? Haven't been there for years.

There are two parking lots by the barracks. One is paid, on the other it says "Slovenian army parking" and "parking at own risk", it doesn't say that you mustn't park.
