An ideal day for visiting Aljažnasmeh, if I forget the six working sections of the motorway from home to the trailhead.jezen
What peace there was today, roe deer were grazing, marmots were running and whistling, a chamois and a female ibex were posing for the lens and flowers were growing happily.jezik
Ideal temperature for hiking, in the morning a bit cloudy up to Konjsko saddle, snow in Kurica and the first ascent from Planika, I did not use winter equipment, on the ridge during the ascent from Vrata it was a bit windy, half an hour alone at the summit, then a Slovak, a Pole and four Czechs.mežikanje

Conditions yesterday, 29.5.26.

Plemenice:
From Luknja to approx. 2300 m there are only 3-4 short snow patches, all can be avoided with a light climbing detour. From there to the entrance below Triglavska škrbina there is still snow, but the terrain is gentle and therefore completely unproblematic. The only place where an ice axe would come in handy, but I didn't use it, is the snow patch below the škrbina. I reached the summit completely without using winter equipment, but since I don't know the reader, I still don't recommend going on the route without it.

Tominškova:
The descent over the snow-covered Triglavski podi to the junction for Tominškova is quick and unproblematic, while Tominškova itself has two snow patches: one at approx. 1950 m and is the only place on yesterday's route where safe passage without an ice axe is impossible; the other is quite low on the path, hardly worth mentioning due to the ease of crossing.

Hello smile

My friend and I would love to hike Triglav in the week of 9.6., preferably up via Tominšek and descent via Prag the next day. We have read about the Tominšek cornice sometimes being a risk until mid-June, can anyone tell us what the conditions are by now maybe? Nadvojvoda's report looks very promising, and we're hopeful. We have crampons, ice picks, a halfrope just in case etc. but we wanted to avoid any sketchy climbing/belaying in deep snow...

Thanks so much!

Has anyone gone these days via Tominšek's, Over Prag or Kot? Are they snow-free? Can one go without winter equipment to Kredarica? Thanks for the info nasmeh

FYI, the troughs before and at Zgornja Krma pasture (along the marked path) are completely without water, at least on Friday they were.

n3jc-On Saturday above Prgarca, where the path splits towards Planika, Kredarica and Staničev dom, it was possible to get water, only the black pipes through which it flows had to be opened and then of course put back to the original state.

After Thursday's Rokav, yesterday's traditional June tour with children (with daughters, son was missing this time) to Triglav. From Krma over Planika up and over Kredarica down. If you're early (at 8am at the top), there's no excessive heat and also no particular crowds (on the ridge). Of course there are still quite a few people, but it's not yet the peak of the season, since Planika is still closed.
Water is already led to the upper trough above Prgarca and flows nicely. The lower trough doesn't have water yet. At Lesa the cows have fun among the carsnasmeh

Hello everybody, I stayed in the kredarica hut from Wednesday to Thursday and I lost a little monkey toy (see picture attached).
It’s very emotional important for me. I was sleeping in Room P1, maybe it fell under the bed or I lost it in the dining room, or at the benches outside while eating..
If anybody could take a look or ask there personally I would be extremly thankful. The person who helps me getting it back gets a reward of 50€. Thank you!! 🙏

Yesterday's pre-shift Triglav. I guess this is in fashion lately velik nasmeh Well... if there was less driving...
Anyway let's leave the fashion, actually I haven't been up in summer for a long time. Especially over Škrbina. And so it's almost the only option to at least somewhat avoid the crowd.
Paths without peculiarities. Just an interesting observation... on the "symbol of Slovenianness" there are almost no Slovenians.

Today I took a colleague up Triglav for the first time (Krma - Planika - Triglav - Kredarica - Krma). Very early start, 4.15, because afternoon storms were forecast. Turned out there were morning storms. We got to Planika just in time staying dry, then waited there from 8 to 10, two storms came from Italy in between. Weather surprised quite a few, many hurried and turned back from the ridge. After 10.30 weather stabilized. Occasional stronger wind gusts. Path Kredarica - Mali Triglav being renewed in lower part, added extra cables under the traverse where there were none before. One of the maintainers explained the reason was the tragic accident of a Dutch hiker about a month ago. Last steep part under Kredarica very eroded. Water also flowing in lower channel under Prgarca. Quite a few people but no excessive crowding on the ridge, vast majority foreigners (so much that even the maintainers directing people spontaneously spoke English to all hikers).

Kind regards.
I have a question. Is there any other path from Planika to the top of Triglav besides the one that goes right from Planika and joins the path coming from Kredarica at Mali Triglav.
That goes left from the hut, for example to reach the path that goes from the western side of Triglav?
Thanks for any advice.
And I apologize in advance if everything is not well understandable or well written in Slovenian....I'm writing from Croatia (but I'm a big "lover" of mountains especially the Slovenian Julian Alps)

After Planika hut keep left and you'll soon see markings for Gorjanska path. But don't go towards Koča na Doliču which goes even more left. In a few places on the scree there is still some snow, no problems, climbing part also nicely protected and without specifics.

KrunoK: this Gorjanska path is considerably less visited than the one over Mali Triglav, so just choose it.
