Currently all-day parking for 10€ is possible at various parking lots in Mojstrana, according to data on their website. How it will be in the future at this new expanded parking lot is unknown.

Since the barrier system starts operating only in September, while the bus service stops on 15 September, I conclude that they plan to charge for car entry into Vrata even when there is no bus service at all. How is this supposed to encourage the use of bus transport instead of cars?

How come recently the ramp could be opened in front of Aljažev dom, where there was a whole party and that in TNP? Cars parked everywhere, even on grassy areas, but no fines. It was a wedding, obviously of bigwigs. Double rules then. For real hikers who will come from far away for one day, extortionate parking prices.

The ramp in front of Aljaž has also been able to open otherwise, when the main parking lot was full.
Hiking in more and more places will obviously be only for the initiated and of course tourists. There must be bribes under the table, because otherwise I don't understand how the local community can "occupy" a state road.

I'm sure this time public transport won't be organized with full-size buses that take more than half an hour through Vrata and cause traffic jams in both directions at every bend.
The driver will know four foreign languages: Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin.

Barrier on the state road that one will quickly get legs But at pl.Kuhinji they tilted the parking meter and damaged the barrier and there are usually only 10-20 cars up there.
They should lower it only when the valley is full.

Wow, I haven't been at the computer for a while, reading posts and I'm really horrified if all this is leading the right way.
I am really an advocate of paid parking, but what is happening is really pure horror.
I think myself, I'll go across the border, let them fleece the tourists.
And so our beautiful mountains (if you don't want to pay high parking fees) will be only for prestigious guests. Sad, dear Slovenia.

Maybe someone knows how much the parking fee will be at the top of Vršič?
If they set 25 eur for Vrata and 10 here at Erjavčeva... then at the top of Vršič they could also set 25 or maybe just round up to 30

Vršič Pass
Last season our traffic calming system over Vršič Pass worked very well. The tourist season probably passed for the first time without jams and traffic collapses. This year too, the traffic calming system will operate with the help of traffic wardens.
Next to Hotel Kranjska Gora (former Hotel Lek) there is an information board that informs drivers about the occupancy of parking lots at the pass or, in case of full occupancy, informs them that only transit is possible. A regular bus service from both sides of the pass will also be established. Collection of parking fees at the pass will not be introduced this season.
