No, on Uršlja there is already around 30 cm of snow. I went today from Poštarski dom over Kozarnica back over Kal. The paths are excellent. The weather was also sunny and clear

On Friday at 20h with friend from Crna we headed to Uršlja gora. In Musenik teenagers ask us where we are in such a hurry? At the answer to Uršlja, by their laugh we knew they didn't believe us. When we left the gravel road, we had to avoid mud flows. The path leading to Ledine was dry and the path to Uršlja was firm and dry. We could complain only about the wind. At the hut the thermometer showed 0°C, but despite that it was quite frosty. We left Uršlja towards Križan; also on this direction the path is in excellent condition. Noticeable is also the work of the Markecists; this should be repeated every year, not ---. At Križan the car awaits us, we get rid of things we don't need and continue towards Ciganija. Home sweet home for who has it. Here again I was on home colleague Saturday. Cloudy, cold winter weather. Path from Ledine passed quick, snow was dry, nice for walking. Uršlja still top and training ground for fitness. The one and the only. Who was up yesterday had real winter fairy tale.

Hi!
Last week (Monday and Wednesday) the conditions were super. Both times I went from Ivarčko Lake. Both paths (Grofovska and Železarska) are trodden. The path from Poštarski dom was not yet trampled on Wednesday.
However, given today's weather, the upper part of the path is likely icy, the lower part muddy.

I visited Uršlja gora again last weekend, when winter cultural days were taking place at the hut. Quite a few of us gathered, the hut was packed full, and there were plenty of people outside too. At the start, a representative of PD Prevalje greeted us, then we enjoyed the singing of the male choir Vres. I was only saddened by the fact that the highlight of the singing (at least in my opinion and based on the hikers' reactions at the hut) was "Ružo crvena". So many beautiful Slovenian songs could have been sung. But no, even at such events, foreign songs are now indispensable.
At the top it was a bit windy, and some paragliders were preparing for their jump.

I was on Uršlja on 14.1.2013 and trampled the path from farmer Janez via Grofovska path to the top of Uršlja. Recommend crampons and gaiters. Weather was windy on the mountain, snow 40 cm.

I was up on 15.01.2013. From Ravne on foot then up Železarska. When I went up it was OK, to the top there a real snowstorm. So no to the cross, only to the hut. Snow 40 cm, where drifted way over knees. Gaiters obligatory, crampons also useful. Tomorrow go again to break trail up.

Today again up Uršlja, real winter storm. Up nice track in snow, back slide fun real crazy down to Ivarčko. Up meter snow, instead adventure down hut social sandwiches, pricey tea for thirst. This year already five times Uršlja.

About an hour ago I returned from Uršlja, where I went along Grofovska path . From around 1,200 meters onwards 5-8 cm fresh snow. Still recommend gaiters and crampons. At the top fantastic weather without a breath of wind. South snow.

Yesterday I climbed from Javor to Uršlja gora. First quite dense fog accompanied me, around 1300 m like entering another world, it was like a fairy tale, sun, spruces surrounded by rime and snow and foggy sea in the valley . At the top quite cold wind blowing, at the hut in shelter of high drifts nice to sit in the sun. To the top under two hours, back down in 56 minutes.

Yesterday kinda twice up. First from Žerjav over Ledine, then down to Križan and once more last up. The path from Žerjav is now trampled by two bulldozers. The road to Ledine is rock+n+roll. The ridge to the pools was wet and the path below torn. On top some folks first, second none left. New snow 5 to 10 cm, over Železarska nice snow down to Ivarčko.

I was early on Peca, so on the descent I decided to climb also to Uršlja gora.

Today a quick decision was made and I watched the sunset from the top of Uršlja. Yesterday's winter idyll is almost gone (due to warmer weather snow has fallen from trees). The Železarska path is trodden, on Grofovska a poor track has been made. Similar to the Grofovska path, also the path from Poštarski dom is poorly trodden.

Yesterday, on 28.1.2013 in the evening (started 19.00) on Uršlja. Somewhere from 1200 meters 8 cm fresh snow. At the top a fairy tale.

Check on Uršlja yesterday. Up Železarska, down Grofovska. Both we did fresh tracks, there was some 5 cm new snow. Nice for walking, on top wind and it made slight cornices. The view very nice despite clouded sky. Road to Ledine snow-covered and gritted. Today I was on Hom and it is a quite interesting hill. If someone interested go from Ski hut up and then kinda along ridge up. Nice tour, view surprisingly good sometimes. The path we also did today because at least in the log no one signed last 14 days. There was though inversion, kinda really warm down and moderate winter temperatures.
