Today did a circular route: Ivarčko-Ošven-Kozji hrbet-summit-Grofovska path-Ivarčko. In the morning it was sunlit, right after 8 o'clock clouds came from Pohorje. Path dry to Luž then need to cross larger snow patches a few times, completely frozen and quite slippery. Between 1300 and 1500 m strong north wind so it was cold as it hasn't been for a long time, consequently my hands ached badly and met no living soul. At the top decent view without wind and not too cold, summit dry, path to Šmoharco still fully iced.

The Ironworker's Path also nicely compact, frozen in the upper part, only the last bit icy snow patches. A few more from today.

NIGHT HIKE OVER URŠLJA GORA (as part of K-24 )
At 22:00 Zvonet and I started walking from Črna towards the mountain. The path was nicely passable, so after three hours we were at the hut, where a photo followed. Signing in failed because we had no pen. We had a nice clear night without wind. We descended towards Križan, from there continued to Andrejev dom.

IVARČKO -URŠLA
On Friday I use the free morning and visit Uršlo. The path via Železarska is very muddy, but that didn't bother Marjan, who goes to the Gora every Friday, of course regardless of the weather. On return I pick up a bag of trash forgotten by people after snack on the bench. On Saturday again I use the morning for new hike to Uršlo. I return with friends via grofofska, which is a bit drier.

ČRNA-URŠLA-SLEME at night as part of K-24
With Nejc we start in Črna, through Žerjav to the den. Night is as we wish, no wind, Moon already quite high and lights every gully for us. On Gori it gets a bit cold, as our shirts are soaked with sweat. Now we'll rest a bit on descent to Križan. On road to Sleme we walk with light off, Moon provides light. Path at night not demanding, of course you must know it.

TODAY TO URŠLJA FROM IVARČKO
With Romana today we start hiking in nice morning. Path partly dried, slippery still between bridge and water. In hut we snack a bit, as dear caretakers are leaving the mountain hut. We return likewise via Železarska path.

Črna,Uršla,Andrejev dom.
Quite dense fog was our companion on the path, result of fog, slight dew. Otherwise nice tour in the dark.

Day on Uršlja. Snow report says no snow, summit completely bare, but between 1000 and 1600 m ice that spiced up ascent and especially descent. Worst crisis was through forest to Jesus and up road to bend. On top light rain, no wind and quite warm. I was one of two St. Nicholases today on top.

Today's Uršla already in winter clothes. Paths trodden, snow 10-15 cm, snow starts around 1000 m. On top cold, north wind, bit of sun, and some visitors too.

Night hike Črna-Uršlja-Sleme.
Snow started below koča Naravskih ledin. Strong wind started accompanying us on Zgornjih Ledinah. Clear sky densely strewn with stars, Moon still almost full, in short, it would be nice if not for strong wind. Not much snow and it's trodden. At hut thermometer shows -10 C. We quickly head towards Križan. Also here nice descent, not icy. From Križan dry road to Sleme.

Today on Uršlja. Čečovje-Ivarčko-Železarska hut-summit-Kozji hrbet-Podkraj-Čečovje. Conditions brutally extreme, cold and northern wind. On the summit over 20 cm dry snow and strong northern wind making drifts. You take a couple of shots and fingers stiffen, no pain no top. View very nice, temperature between -10 and -13 degrees. Recommend face mask, good gloves, poles and gaiters, and long pants Hut is closed and will be also for New Year's Eve. Open for the weekend, for 1 and 2 January not sure, as it was closed on 25 and 26 too.

For guests it was always nice, less so for those who had duty up there and worries with irresponsible visitors and guests. This year only the most loyal friends of Uršle will go up.

Uršlja Gora 29.12.2014
I usually visited this mountain before New Year's holidays. Hut open, crowded inside, hot tea, cold beer (whatever suits...). Today, I didn't expect anything like that. So we carried tea and snacks ourselves. It was good.. of course it would be nice to sit warm and warm frozen gloves, but what can you do..?
We meet Zdravko in Šoštanj and head to Slemen. Parking (Ciganija) freshly cleared and at 8:10 - the only ones!
To Križan takes 50 minutes. Zdravko has a pace that suits me . Maruša follows effortlessly . On grassy slopes above Križan SW wind sweeps and creates snow reliefs. Above meadows calm again. Sun warms us, and of course the steepness. Not much snow and we progress quickly to the top. 15 min before 11 we see the church in glittering snow. Wind increases towards the cross on top. Not extreme conditions, but cold in wind and cheeks redden.
We descend to the hut. In shelter we drink tea, enjoy sweets that Zdravko brought (wife baked, not him ).
Just before 12 we descend the slope and choose Winter path for return. Smart choice. We progress fast and at 12:30 already on meadows. Overheated, wind cools us again. To car another 1.5 hours. Nice morning organized by Zdravko!
Snow up to 20cm, more in drifts. On wind-exposed slopes almost none. Recommend descent via Winter path for return.

Today up there in company of chamois. Železarska path icy, crampons and poles useful. On top warm and quite strong westerly, snow nicely drifted.
