There will be no problems to Ivarčkega, Ledina or Poštarski dom. To the ramp, there is some snow but it is groomed by a snowcat so no big issue.

Here a few pics from Uršlja gora on 1.1.2014. Day was beautiful, enjoyed wonderful views of Karavanke, Kamnik and Julian Alps whose high peaks were just poking out of the sea of fog! First winter fairy tale!!!

Today on Uršlja. Kozji hrbet almost entirely firm and not too muddy, Železarska catastrophically muddy and don't recommend. On top much less snow than last week also today thaw, view quite good, weather cloudy. Will get slippery so don't forget crampons. For Železarska tracks and washing machine. jezik

About 25 cm of snow gr. Paths trodden from all sides, yesterday and today a real rush on Uršlja. This morning even sunny, on top moderate wind, view quite nice.

Plešivška Kopa and Pohorje from the fog.

Another 15 cm of fresh snow plus drifts on windy spots. Up Grofovski dol over Kozji hrbet. From Jezus up uncomfortably icy under snow. A bit of sun, a bit of fog and no wind on top. Real winter idyll.

Ski track towards Ledine and Kozji hrbet.

Beautiful day today up there. Sun, light wind and nicely frozen snow, no trace of black ice. Železarska path nicely passable, just in first part to Jurček some branches over path, then no barricades to top. Path nicely frozen so holds pressure mostly, sinks a bit here and there. On top same, fog line around 1100 m. Descended over Kozji hrbet. Path better for ascent than descent, quite icy esp. steepest part so descent slippery even with crampons, ascent no problems. No fallen trees here either, start from Ošvenova rida down. Path from Smuč koča to Podkraj full of fallen branches and trees so not recommended. Roads drivable for now but like tunnel with fallen trees and branches on sides. Recommend crampons and poles for up and down.

New winter fairy tale today up there. Paths trodden from all the most frequented sides - Železarska, Čez Kozarnico, Čez kal, from Slemena direction, from N. Ledin. The Železarska path is frozen at the bottom, there are some branches on the path and two newly fallen trees in the initial part. From Jurček up nice dry snow, track well beaten. On top wonderful view and warm, new snow about 20 cm and drifted in some places. Really beautiful day, let the pictures tell more.

Yesterday, 15.2.2014, we set off from the starting point at Ivarčko Lake along the Ironworker's Path to the summit of Uršlja Gora nasmeh

The day was nice, only on the top it was quite windy. Meanwhile the sun also peeked out nasmeh

The path is well trodden, we met quite a few hikers. The lower part of the path is more frozen and small crampons came in handy. In the upper part of the path the snow is softer, so walking is quite difficult and we used up quite a lot of energy. But at the top with the magnificent views all effort was already forgotten velik nasmeh

Up today. Route Ivarčko-Ošven-Kozji hrbet-summit-Grofovska-Ivarčko. Towards the top 10 cm of new wet snow fell, melting on trees so it was like walking under a shower uphill. At the top sun, occasionally covered by ragged clouds. Neighbouring peaks in clouds, nice view to the valley. Tomorrow even better. No gaiters or crampons needed.
