Today on Uršlja. From Ivarčko Lake via Ski Hut and goat ridge to summit, descent via Železarska back to Ivarčko. Strong foehn and cold in valley, sunny and warm up top, just a bit of cold wind on summit. At hut already quite a sunbake . Goat ridge icy in lower and middle part, same for upper and middle of Železarska trail. Crampons good gear here. Not much snow left, view still phenomenal.

How much time would it take from Ravne train station to Uršlja?
How about the hut occupancy during Christmas time?

It all depends on how fast you would walk, and which path you would choose. "Around three hours". For the second question it's best to call the hut for an answer. Regards.

From the train station, you can count on about 3h to 3:30 unless you go really fast and take the shortest path, then a bit faster. Today up there it was quite warm and sunny, and the view was very nice again - at least to KSA and the Julian Alps.

Nineteen pairs. If I go to Carinthia a few more times it could be Abraham number this yearOtherwise some go 100x but question how far they drive with cars, I go all from the valley.

That's definitely a record, especially considering the distance walked and elevation difference. Most who collect 100 walk from Ledine or even from the ramp.

That guy was going up to take pics, numbers are inflated and probably you could count his ascents from the valley on the fingers of one hand. But he made lots of nice pics and hats off to him for persistence and will.

Last time this year and 50th time this year on Uršlja. Snow up to 20 cm somewhere - new. Lots of visitors today. Paths trodden from all directions, up top foggy damp with light snowing. In the hut already New Year atmosphere, no valley views today for sure. Good luck to all loyal hikers on Uršlja gora also in 2014.

Yeah as waiter I'm not comfortable. Today up top again lots of people. No fog but strong wind that made quite some drifts. So face mask came in handy again.
