Someone shows off for the club and cancels everything, but doesn't do duty on Uršlja gora (hut closed). Just because of the inn???? Yesterday on the MOUNTAIN ohohoh people
(cca. 300-400)? I can't imagine if the hut was closed.
Normally the president HIMSELF will leave the top of the club with such a mindset.

Hats off to the former caretakers of Uršlja gora who are on Kremžarjev vrh. PD PREVALJE can only DREAM of SUCH.

Since the hut on Uršlja is closed we're going 30.12.2015 to Kremžarjev vrh.

updated info: Hut on Uršlja gora closed this afternoon (was open from Christmas) reopens on 1.1.2016 in the morning. mrk pogled

@podgorc, I posted because years ago I was often up there in winter, mostly on skis. It was never open, we didn't even have "Swiss" huts yet to need changing space, drinks and food I always carry anyway.
I still think no need for inns in the mountain world, even though I don't know about these things.
Today I was alone on one summit, 7 hours didn't meet anyone. Maybe time for those 300 or 400 to go somewhere else sometimes. Isn't that a burden for Uršlja gora?

New Year's Eve Uršlja. This time in winter temperatures. Especially from the north side. Ivarčko-Kozji hrbet-summit-Grofovska-Ivarčko. At the summit beautiful view, sun, cold and frosty wind, but nothing worse. Quite a few visitors, also paragliders used the day for their last flight of the year from Uršlja. Hut closed, opens tomorrow. I fully agree with the previous comment on this. Most complaints from hikers coming from Križan, N. Ledin or even from the ramp. Whoever thinks the hut should be open can sign up, go on duty next year mežikanje

On 4.1.2016 to Uršlja via Grofovska, still untrodden. Windy at summit. mežikanje

On 5.1.2016 from Šratnek via Železarska to summit and descent via Kozji hrbet to Ošven and continue over S to starting point. Weather on mountain excellent, crampons recommended. LP nasmeh

The year has come full circle and of course we are getting older. Although in today's group there are three January-born, Zdravko is the first who celebrated a few days ago.
As usual, he invites us to his Uršlja and after the hike follows a richly laden table (for which his wife takes care).
Weather: cloudy, sun, fog, frosting. A little snow (similar to last year 10.1.2015). For variety on the ascent we chose an unmarked variant. It is a bit longer, but a pleasant variation.
Hut open and fully occupied... some lady came to nag us that she needs a free table because she has ordered a larger group!!! zavijanje z očmi

Then culinary conclusion, which we of course deserved after cca. 5 hours of walking velik nasmeh

Thanks to Zdravko for the invitation and of course to his wife for everything she brought to the table and kindly hosted us cool

When we were at Križan it still had a foggy cap

Every second Saturday there is the Skok from Ivarčko lake to Uršlja gora and always crowd on the mountain. Well, if you go by less frequented paths and a bit later, you don't feel it too much. Almost no snow on mountain anymore and total thaw, as if in April.

In the valley considerably more snow than on the mountain.

In front of the hut everything is calm, inside the hut many people.

On Saturday we visited Uršlja gora. Tour start at Poštarska hut. Ascent via path "over Kozarnica". First part of path clear, then couple cm snow, more at summit. At summit snow blizzard greeted us, but short lived. After snow shower cleared up, views even to Krn.
Descent via path "over Kal". Slippery in places and small crampons very useful, especially lower part where forest road covered in smooth ice.

Today to Uršlja Gora via pilgrimage path past the chapel. At the top we enjoyed spring conditions, no wind and plenty of sun.

Yesterday and today again on Uršlja Gora. About 20 cm of snow fell, but on the top it is very windblown, as there was strong wind on the top yesterday. Today sunny and very warm, so the snow is melting fast.
