Today foggy and strong wind on the summit making drifts, snow almost 1.5 meters. Didn't reach the summit because everything is drifted from the hut to the summit and also behind the church upwards – without skis or snowshoes, very warm gloves and ski goggles, the summit mission in such conditions is hard to accomplish. Lots of people though, as the shortcut to Uršlja, Železarska path was nicely trodden.

Some yesterday's impressions, there's huge snow, up to 2 meters in places. Up Fabriška, down via power lines and Kozji hrbet.

A couple of today's - Easter ones. Up Grofovka, down powerlines and kozji hrbet. Weather ok, light snow and fog on top. Snow still at least 1.5m, soft in places, hard elsewhere. For most crowded paths recommend crampons.

Today's ramble on the mountain. Weather held up nicely, a bit of sun and clouds and fog. Snow starts about halfway from the south. On trodden path it's nice to go, good to have small crampons. Anyway, excellently used Saturday

Uršlja, which has grown close to my heart - a sad experience on 10 April. For a whole 3 hours we listened to the buzzing of a dirt bike and then also quads ... horror upon horror.
Forest churned up, driving on the hiking trail which was ruined in places ...
Dear locals, do you not know how to care for your beauties, actually ours, as we all own natural wealth. Elsewhere they know how to care for such things, people do not even think of destroying nature.
We all admire nice mountain pics, but I decided to post also such ones that are not to our credit, unfortunately none from Uršlja ...
Dirt biker was of course a local, home under the summit ... and greeted nicely as if unaware of doing something wrong, I was speechless.
Lovers of Uršlja Gora, think about this problem.

Yesterday 15.4.2016 with a colleague from Kotelj to Ivarčko Lake then to the summit of Gore and return via Poštarski dom and back. Weather ideal on the hunting path a wild rooster crossed our path, singing so that one would gladly listen to it. Already suitable for summer hikers. LP

More closed than it was this afternoon is hard. Aren't hikers who despite bad weather head uphill worthy of shelter? Have huts and homes changed their primary mission?

On Saturday an evening hop to Uršlja. Ironworker's path muddy in places, Graf's path dry. Both paths completely passable. On the summit I was completely alone, really incredible peace. Views quite good, for flowers in full bloom it will be necessary to wait a bit longer.

Night hike to Uršlja.
As part of K-24 we set off at 22:00 from Črna to Uršlja. In some places the moon lit us. We descended towards Andrejev hut. The whole path without peculiarities. Regards.

Uršlja Gora / Šmohorca
Zdravko invites to see the edelweiss site in the rocks of Uršlja. More than edelweiss, I was interested in the circular path around Uršlja and ascent to the rocky summit Šmohorca.
So already at Ciganija we agree and change the plan. We circle Uršlja on the SE side and on the ridge cross to the NW part. We quickly find the faintly visible circular path. At the nicely renovated weekend hut we cross the marked path and find the traceable path again. It leads us between steep slopes, rocky walls, towers, larches getting fresh green cover. The path is nicely traceable. With Sandi we look for passages, visible paths, or chamois tracks.
Ascent to Šmohorca causes us some trouble. At times mists envelop us and it's hard to orient which rock tower is the right one. We crawl, climb up the steep gully and come across pieces of rusted sheet metal…Zdravko says they are probably remains of the roof of the original tower from the top. A fierce wind supposedly blew it into the precipitous walls. Past the rusted sheet metal we climb out of the very steep gully onto the ridge. To the right, a summit appears in the mist that should be Šmohorca. We climb onto it and for a moment spot the TV tower. Now we exactly know where we are. Along the nicely visible path we climb out of the precipitous walls and soon we're having beer at the hut. Descent past blooming daffodils, which crowds go to admire on Golica in columns. In the forest with clouds above us, some moisture. Sun at Križan. Less than 6 hours for a nice circular path.
Well Zdravko, the hidden chapel and edelweiss for next time…..
