Whenever you deal with anything that needs electrical power, remember this sight. Then ask yourselves if it can perhaps be done without it, and in the end you'll conclude that the smoke in Šoštanj is because of all of us, not because it's so damn nice to release steam and smoke into the environment.

I agree with the predecessor, we don't want wind power plants, don't want plants on Mura etc., but we all admire photos where energy is needed too. Then back to candles and oil lamps! lp

Rozka, how can a view of steam freeze you?
It's totally normal everywhere in the world, don't know why only in Slovenia we're so sensitive about it. Electricity has to come from some source anyway.

On a wonderful sunny 5th Lenten quiet Sunday I ascended Uršlja gora. This time from Podgorje near Slovenj Gradec or Zg. Razborje direction, parked car above Jelenovi travniki or above Križan. There were quite some people, many first-timers on the peak as quite a few asked "is it still far to the top"  Weather as said wonderful, visibility likewise. Patches of snow still in hollows on north side of Urška.

Yesterday on St. Boniface's day with PD Ravne na Koroškem I took part in 2nd Telcer memorial hike to Uršlja gora (1699 m). Start at eight at Ivarček Lake, at eleven on top at cross short cultural program. Quintet Ajda in cultural program, Telcer biography presented. The dog guarding the transmitter on Uršlja gora...
I have an interesting experience with him... When you ignore him for a while, he becomes tame as a cat.
After 10 min with him above sheer wall even let me pet him. Well, it's true no dog has bitten me yet - dog knows dog

Weather forecast wasn't promising, but the path calls, so I went from Poštarski dom to Uršlja, since weather was still ok I continued to Sleme. In between pleasant breeze was blowing, which at summer temps is very nice. Back to Poštarski via Kal, that path more sparsely marked but doable without problem. Despite not ideal weather it was super, everything in bloom, clouds softened the heat a bit.

Today I climbed from Naravske ledine to Uršlja gora. Despite cooling and not too nice weather, there were quite a few Sunday hikers. As curiosity, today they were stoking in the hut, as it was quite fresh
Today there was nice Uršljegorska Sunday on the mountain.

On Saturday late afternoon, I climbed Uršlja Gora with my girlfriend from Naravske ledine. At Luže by the wooden hut, we turned left onto the northern slopes towards Velika Šmohorica, since the girl hadn't been there yet. The path is quite untraveled, it leads to the heart of the north face, complete wilderness. From below Šmohorica to the summit there is also a path, but we didn't decide on the ascent since we didn't know what to expect, and the time was already quite late. We returned by the same path to the marked trail, then to the top, where we probably were the last to sign that day. Lots of entries, as befits a weekend. Sharp wind whistling around our ears, surrounding peaks already had cloud "caps". Rain was brewing, which came two or three hours later. Part of the descent by headlamps, midway I saw a chamois on Uršlja for the first time. Super spent afternoon/evening, nothing else to say.
ps. I would scold the culture of some hikers, as I noticed quite a few papers, tissues and other trash on the path itself. Shame on them.

I was there, namely from Naravske ledine. Pleasant walk, snow starts already at the beginning of the path, on top almost half a meter. Holy Mass itself extremely nice, around 60 people. On descent the sun had already strongly warmed the lower part of the path to the parking lot, so it was quite muddy. Pictures I'll add later.
