After nice Tuesday weather (in higher areas), yesterday I headed up again. On the trail tranquility, wonderful colors that would be even prettier in the sun, and soft carpets of fragrant dry leaves. Between Primož and Domžalec I met only one girl, otherwise dead quiet even at the top of the plateau. Mid-morning the Domžale hut is locked, though the door nicely says they rest only Monday and Tuesday. Well, it doesn't bother me, as outdoor benches were dry, where I changed clothes and snacked. Sun even peeked out at times, no wind even on Gradišče. Five of us in the cable car, and I was the only passenger on the bus to Calcit.

Beautiful day behind us today, if......
You reach Rakova Ravan parking and cashier greets you "collecting parking 10€". OK given all read on forums, we know it's ripping visitors without service.
Very annoying is the pigsty at parking!!!!
You pay, then watch not to step on dog shit exiting car, with car you run it over anyway, not speaking of tissues and packaging. I know dog owners are such and such, like all others. That's why it's like it is. Long we pondered visiting the plateau, as this fee always deters us, think we won't return soon. If not capable of basic order at parking, at least no charge. For that price expect clean tidy parking. Maybe someday. Nice greet to all!

Really such things warm one's blood. Sadly all debates and comments are like peas against the wall. From the Bohinj people this virus spreads very quickly. No one has charged me anything for a while, though I'm quite often 'on the air'. Vel'ka is a nearby destination for me, where the regime doesn't hinder me, before Calcit there's a super parking lot where no cashier bothers, to Gradišče it's a walk made to measure for me.

I agree, parking at Calcit is super, asphalted and free, and the path to Velika pl. is just the right length and interesting  just a matter of time when there'll be some guy's EasyPark there

I doubt there'll be EasyPark there anytime soon, since the parking lot is owned by Calcit d.o.o company

Does anyone have info on hut openings tomorrow on the pasture?
I understand Domžalski dom is closed in November, Črnuški operates on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays - does anyone know if Jarski is open?
I assume yes, but I wouldn't want to get a different answer tomorrow in front of possibly closed doors

Since they invented the phone in 1875 it's really no problem anymore to get information. On the PZS website you have all data on hut openings and also their phone numbers. Just boldly get to it. Success won't elude you.

Dear julius, thanks for the very constructive response which I boldly tackled even myself before posting on this forum.
But you can't believe that the existence of a phone doesn't necessarily mean reachability in the mobile network which depends on signal coverage.
I wish you many such good posts that add value.

Zeleni rob will surely be open.

Domžalec also operates as stated on PDD, but PZS has no updated data on opening times.
Conditions - up to Mickina bajta cca 15 cm snow, wet. From top of pasjih pečin dry, 30 cm and some wind slabs here and there.

After a long time up again. Understandable, on Monday with bad weather forecast no crowd. Well, I don't miss it. More snow starts below Mickina bajta, higher chains handy for many. Not much snow on top, mostly blown, but between Domžalec and Gradišče real winter conditions. Just below Zeleni rob sun, wind calmed, sometimes really warm.

Yesterday despite gloom up again. Half-hour shelter at Črnuški dom, tea still very tasty. Snow a few cm more than last time, this time equipped with Himalayan goggles, hat and gloves. Since arrived at Gradišče a bit early, stopped at Zeleni rob too. In almost empty bus to Calcit only keeping driver company.
