On Sunday I went to check the conditions. The most annoying part of the trail for me was just above Primož, because there was little snow and it was smoothed out, higher up it was better. The Pasje pečine were also not problematic with increased attention. Lidija had the stove nicely heated, tea warm, sweet and tasty, few visitors in the hut. For a change, no wind when crossing to Gradišče, colder at the bus stop under the cable car than up top. Quite a few kids with parents enjoyed the snow, even though the sun didn't show.

Apparently there was also a short thaw in between

Despite the fog on Gradišče, quite a cheerful company.

Otherwise between Domžalec and Gradišče I met no one.

This morning it wasn't as cold as forecasted. Still, I started in three T-shirts, put on a face mask too. I met only two brave souls and in a fast pace turned off the 'engine' only at the top of the poles before Domžalec. Šment, they took leave again. Two minutes and I'm already in the warm room of Črnuški dom, which never disappoints. Despite the cold all clothes needed changing, after tea and croissant I continued to Gradišče in already nicely warmed air. I literally glided to Šimnovec, as the snow was just right and there was enough of it. The cable car guy disappointed me again, to the bus I could only wave as I rode over it. jezen

After a kilometer of slow running the first car that passed stopped for me. nasmeh

Calm, warm. The sun pleasantly caresses me.

Somewhere drifted, elsewhere blown bare again

Right on the right edge, bivouac in the middle.

Yesterday Velika planina was really wonderful, as it hasn't been for a long time. Even the morning low temperatures didn't bother.

Today the blue was above the gray, the sun shone on me only at Teran. nasmeh

Today's start was perfectly timed weather-wise. To Calcilla with wipers on, already at Vegrad the rain got tired of falling. Along the nicely washed trail all the way to Mickina bajta, where live čofta awaits you. On the hilltop temperature around zero, so the snow was more bearable. No school-holiday buzz was felt.

But when I know I can't influence the situation. After two days of rest, adrenaline already hits me thinking of tomorrow's whiteness and trudging the whole way... smile

...and the pleasure was complete.
Night rain eased in the morning, trees were just shaking off drops, higher up new snow. It started around 1000m, at Mickina bajta about 3cm, six minutes aside on Pirčev vrh already 7, at the wood at least 15. At Jarški dom they took the day off, as @arta@ mentioned above. In Domžalec I put on my gaiters and head off right away, as there was more and more snow. In places up to knees, but diffuse light was bothering, making walking quite difficult. To Gradišče in time limit, didn't want to miss the cable car - bus. Between Primož and Gradišče I saw no living soul.

There was no one yet today even on Gradišče.

Finally Planina is a little more wintry.

Since no great performance expected from our athletes this morning, I head off again - to Vel'ka. smile

To Primož processions, higher up just a few hikers. I settle in Domžalec and enjoy by the warm stove, as outside gloomy fog. Sun peeked out a few times, its power felt immediately. Plateau trampled, average snow about 15cm. Down as usual by air at noon. With thumb up a friendly lady from Logatec picks me up, returning from a trip to Konj.

The young hut keeper put it up for sale on Thursday.

As said, there is not much snow and a two-day thaw already takes it away.

My most frequent mountain spot of the last three years.

I also stop at the goldsmith's for a tea.

Finally my late mountain visits were rewarded. With what?

On a weather-unfriendly day I head again to my hill. This time via the Dol path, as I haven't gone that way for a long time. The path is obstructed by several fallen trees, I overtake only one hiker who was maximally "high" at 5 degrees and some drops that the wind was shaking from the trees. Some snow (ice) only on the road in Dol, Konjščica is still white. There I veer slightly off the path and poke around the site of the unfortunate Swede's last "landing". The hut is still cordoned with tape, workers with machinery around it, also police, so I didn't want to approach the object so as not to disturb them.
Fog thickened, rain and wind intensified, to Zeleni rob the road is encased in smooth ice, towards Šimnovec wetness increases.

Today dead quiet on hiking trails. To Primož I still met some individuals, next living soul was only Lidija who serves me good tea. At Mickina bajta one cm snow, in front of Jarški dom ten, at Gradišče already twenty. Snow mushy, fog, light snowfall, no wind.

In such conditions on Velika Planina you only meet mountaineers who belong to the hooks and roots group. Bravo Tone! smile

Thanks, Lino! This hill doesn't offer much difficulty, but it's different every visit. For me it's practically a training ground for maintaining fitness and I'm very glad it's relatively close to home. I simply never get tired of these activities and hope it lasts a while... nasmeh

Today a winter wonderland. Ground to 1000m slightly crunchy, higher snow starts, thickness grows exponentially. Sun pleasantly warms, but just enough not to drip from trees yet. I break trail to Jarški dom, change on the only dry bench and sip a beer. nasmeh
