@ LG, it is important what type of camera the photo was taken with. Ordinary "point-and-shoots" are designed so that the image is immediately pleasing to most users. DSLR cameras though, even if much more expensive, require further processing in some computer image editing program. So you can't just say that images shouldn't be processed. But I'm also against overdoing the processing. @ ani39, filters probably don't do it so that images are more pinkish. Proper use of filters can really improve the image, but again we shouldn't overdo it.

The answer to the question which camera makes good photos is that good or bad photos are made behind the camera!!!!!!!!!

Yes, in the Slovenian way we need to solve the dilemma if processing landscape photos is morally acceptable and permissible. nice pics, hope I also manage next week to find some time for Velika Planina. Hope the weekend is generous with snow...

Just allow the most beautiful photos are taken in mountains in the middle of the night. And exclusively during new moon. Of course without aids like flash and such. Colors are vivid, black is incredibly emphasized

I don't know what the last 19 comments have to do with conditions in the mountains...? Aleš's photos definitely show the conditions this hribi.net forum section is meant for. The rest might better fit on some photo-forum, right? Good luck and safe travels!

Nothing, or perhaps? The conversation has really strayed from conditions in the mountains, but I'm sure our goal for all is to present alongside the written word also the best possible photographic material. Anyway, admin can easily move the last 20 comments elsewhere or delete them. Regards

Photography has always been and I think it will be so in the future one of the most common companions of mountaineering and if someone masters it more and speaks about it, there's nothing wrong. We learn all life long

Shrove Saturday. Masks on the plateau, interesting and already traditional at mountain lodges. This time too little snow for skiing and sledding, but icy enough for this last one, due to frozen snow, really recommend crampons - small crampons, with chain or without, we put on 6-pointers sufficient for fast descent, ascent without them, . From Kisovec plateau yesterday no track yet ... LP!

And does anyone know if the path from Stahovica is trodden? Or what's the road to Kranjski Rak like? Has anyone been up after Monday snowfall?

Today fully spring-like conditions already in the morning. Up top no snow at all because it's windblown.

Hi mukica, in the pruh (quarry) you park and snow's right there, yesterday there was still enough snow to struggle on the road through Marjan's fields. Then at the top (gradišče) there's none 'cos it's blown away, but plenty in between.
