I agree with Lj, so it's not clear how much was honestly "poured" on Christmas Eve. From now on I'll order one deciliter of wine and let them heat it for me. But it was still wonderful that evening.

On Christmas Eve it's really not appropriate to drink.

Viharnik, one small mulled wine doesn't hurt, it's for health....

For that half mulled wine I don't mind, but for that "poured". Probably such people mistake Christmas for their personal holiday.

I also went on Holy Eve to midnight mass on Velika Planina . It was really nice, not too much snow, not too cold but with the most visitors. I could say it was a real winter fairy tale . Definitely it will repeat. As for mulled wines, sure you drink a glass or two. No need to overdo it. True that many use such an occasion for boozing. That's our trademark . Sad.

Don't resent THAT YOU WENT TO MIDNIGHT MASS but that you're gonna gorge-drink – well everyone knows for themselves – and I know THAT like it was for me sometimes it won't be anymore BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Not to one, but to some, I think you're walking most on your own blisters.

I was at midnight mass too. But it bothered me that some came "loaded" already to mass and made fun of the songs.... I went on foot from Stahovica via sv. Primož and Pasje Pečine (must emphasize that walking on the edge without crampons was dangerous because icy in several spots, so I went back over the top). Otherwise very nice to see the "procession" from Domžale hut to chapel.

Today it was pleasantly sunny on Velika Planina, no strong winds, forenoon still clear, then after 12 quickly clouded. Path past Sv. Primož to Pasje Pečine dry, further icy to the top and crampons recommended. Actually whole plateau icy, probably from yesterday's wind and frost.

Yeah yesterday picture was a bit different.. gusts of wind occasionally so strong it was shifting me... footpath from Kranjski Rak wasn't too icy yesterday, but Monday (2.1.) from Jurč upper part almost impossible without crampons...

On Wednesday took advantage of the day with a visit to Velika Planina. I greeted the sunrise at the hut in Kamniška Bistrica, then cheated a bit and took the gondola up into the mountains. Almost all snow is blown away, skiing impossible, but therefore even more peaceful and calm. For overnighting, Domžalski dom on Mali Planini is open. As usual, I posted photos on my website: With gondola to Velika Planina
