True, in KSA snow on the south only from 2k onwards. I also did a 4-hour ramble this afternoon on Mala Planina in nice sun.
Konjska valley, ascent to traverse path then a bit along path to Gamsova streža, then up to Curle. Last part orientation demanding, pathless in many spots. My impression - very skillful and nicely routed, but harder than Rigelj and Sivnik, not for wet days. Key parts partly eroded and need good nose if unknown. Last bit missed and exited my way, as in steep didn't go back to path I spotted below. Returned via Pasja peč, past Primož and road back.

After a longer time nice walk on plateau. Almost no snow, morning ground frozen. First crocus blooms delight visitors along black hellebore, which lower already full bloom. Suggest plateau managers maybe put small signs with hill names on rises. More at: https://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/152112/

Today again to Vel'ko, this time from Krivčevo. I hoped to at least wade a bit into the powder, but there was little joy of that, down at nine 2cm, up about 7. Few visitors, all happy with sunny idyll on the hill.

Yesterday was an exceptional day, a perfect opportunity to visit Velika Planina in snowy idyll under blue sky and beautiful clouds floating or piling up from the valley. In the afternoon the sky started closing in and the wind blew hard in places. For impression some husband's photos.....velik nasmehmežikanje

Ločanka, thanks for nice response, though no job long ago, but still at home, health and years you know, so husband wandered alone on the plateau soaking it up for me too. Pics are redemption for me who had to stay home....mežikanje

Some of my pics from sunny, cloudy, mainly windy Velika Planina.
Up to the Domžale hut still all normal, then wind and more wind. Still interesting.
Since Green Edge was still closed, I stopped and warmed up at Jarški hut.
Road to Jelšev konfin is snowy, not icy.

Today from Kranjski rak to Zeleni rob, road was real ice rink in morning to quarry. Nice, windy and sometimes sunny, bit of everything, paths normally passable, ...
