We've been talking for a long time that it would be good to go to Kofce and Great Peak once. Today this venture finally succeeded for us, although we started hiking from the farm at Matizovc only at half past ten. Kofce: wonderful hut, friendly service. To the top a good hour and a half; also the daughter, who is 11 years old, walked quite well. Around 2 we were at the top. A little snack, consultation on what surrounds us, then back to the valley. Excellent tour.

Even today it would be a sin to stay home, unbelievable how warm it was today. Lots of hikers, but since Košuta is long, we distributed nicely across the peaks.

More precise description on Tk gora. If I summarize briefly:
Now both variants are tracked. Over Kofce gora also especially on foot. On the summer path on return we noticed a larger group of skiers - so ski track. If on foot I suggest over Kofce gora, otherwise summer.
Avalanche terrain here and there. Avoid gullies, bowls where there is some drifted snow. Otherwise I think there shouldn't be a problem.

As said, over Kofce gora to the left to Great Peak and also right from Kofce gora along the ridge there is a tracked path. Up top almost without skins, spring-like.

As predecessor Bbrina already wrote, the track is tracked over Kofce gora and then left along the ridge to Great Peak and right along the ridge to Kladivo, but one needs to be a bit more careful when walking the ridge to Kofce gora, on some steep places it is icy, recommended to have at least small crampons for a more stable step...

Today (May 1st) I was on Veliki vrh. Snow has already melted quite a bit, so we didn't need crampons. The hut at Kofce was open.

On Veliki vrh there is no snow anymore, just some small patches that don't hinder the path. For the climbing path I don't know how it is.

Today I was on Veliki vrh, the path is completely dry, on the path we also meet a section that is secured with protections, but easily passable.
Very nice tour, I recommend.

On Saturday we climbed from Hajnževo sedlo to Veliki vrh.
The path is entirely dry, the cables are in good condition, only some brackets are wobbly. In addition, caution is needed above the secured part where there are no more cables and it's still quite a steep slope. Due to very crumbly rocks and loosened grass slopes that are dangerous to dislodge.
Pleasant and safe step!

Today visited Veliki Vrh via climbing path. Protections O.K. But I was a bit disappointed with the poor equipment of hikers. Less than half had helmets, no one had self-protection, yet quite a few people went up. Descended the same path.
