Today on Viš via SV couloir. At the entry to the climbing part there is still some snow, which is well packed. Ice axe useful, otherwise it can be bypassed below and climbed to the ledge. No other snow. Not sure if it counts as conditions, but at 2:30 am there was a 1h45' queue before Jesenice west exit jezen

that's one reason I descended via Anita Goitan and past Mazzeni bivouac, as I was somewhat late (from parking I started only at 5), and the sun started scorching me already when I came out of the couloir at eight (original plan foresaw bypassing Cerio Merlone and left to Montaza but at the notch before front washing I had only half a liter of water left from initial 3 mrk pogled

) descent from notch is somewhat awkward and the path is quite crumbly. Beautiful approach path and wonderful - even if really hot - weather have certainly paid off for the effort and highway nerves mežikanje

NE couloir, Anita Goitan, Stoletnica path, C. Puppis path
After an unwilling wait before the Karavanke tunnel, I managed to get off the highway more than an hour later than I thought and continue to Zajzera. From the parking lot I set off at 5. Pikpok, pity we didn't meet, probably too slow. nasmeh

Before the start of the entry to the NE couloir I used the ice axe for crossing and after about 10 m regretted leaving crampons in the pack; soft Vibram on packed snow offers no help. Well, they went for a ride, though my back after more than 13 hours wasn't too happy. zavijanje z očmi

Towards the end of the hike at the path junction in Mrzle Vode krnica I quickly rethought and instead of to Pellarini hut went to Prašnik saddle. Well, if I'd thought, upon stepping on the white road I'd turn left, but all sorts were in my head. When cyclists came opposite, we all realized I messed up, but laziness did its thing and no more uphill, so I descended to the road in Riofreddo village and hitched to the car. zadrega

Hats off to Italians, first car that came stopped and took me to Zajzera parking, though headed to Tolmezzo. Very grateful nasmeh

NE couloir - above God's ledges markings are really poorly visible, but equipped with bolts, found 12, probably missed some – commendable.

Congrats - the route is not for everyone, so when the bruises fade there won't be new ones mežikanje

Well I don't know. Given the renewed cables, pegs, bolts I thought markings would come next.

markings are really pretty bad, but that way climbing is even more interesting. At least I really liked the route a lot.

From Zajzera to the entry we warmed up just right and cooled down on the snowfield appropriately (ice axe sufficient for now, but the end slope will become steeper).

In NE couloir all harder and exposed spots secured with cable and some extra foot pegs, so the route lost some spice. The summit part path is visible, no route-finding issues.

Descended below Gamsova mati via A. Goitan path to Škrbina mrzle vode, then lower "bypass" to long screes of Mrzle vode. Rope under gully helps on scree descent, then over rubble. Short climb to Žabniška škrbina, then down to hut for beer and to the valley.

Today Miha, Tea and I went on a nice loop from Cave del Mole to Viš/Jof Fuart (Anita Goitan) and back down the usual way. Route extremely interesting and well protected, weather favored us, quite a few summiteers at top. On return stopped at Corsi hut to refuel a bit and to the valley.

NE couloir of Viš was well snowed except first chimney. Super conditions that will last. Awkward 2m drop had cable out. From summit continued to Mojzesova škrbina and on to Koštrunove špice. Descent to Forcella Lavinall Dell" Orso and to Špranja past Mazzeni bivouac over icy path/waterfalls back to Saisera.
