Image loading now works. It should also work via https.

I don't know how advertisers post ads on hribi.net, but I know they are BIG NONSENSE, various reduced electricity use, burning cholesterol etc etc... so visitors beware!!!

You got ZS P.s. That's why, cuz we are sheep, more posts on hribi.net more visits and thus ad clicks. Someone earns from it.

Of course, hosting and all that comes with it is free. It annoys me too but I'm obviously too stingy to use http://www.hribi.net/vip.asp and same all you bothered by ads Maybe they earn something and it's right so, they put quite some work into this site..

It's just an invaluable database of data, descriptions, opinions, photos... And is it hard for you to ignore the ad?

Obviously I wasn't well understood by some...I have nothing against real ads...I'm talking about ads that are pure scams; 75% less for electricity, Chinese in three minutes etc., etc...

Website owners have no direct contact with advertisers. They only have a contract with an ad network (most likely Google AdSense), which gives them limited control over what ads will be displayed. Instead of complaining about what ads are shown, be happy that hribi.net is still free. In times of falling ad revenues and rising AdBlockers, that's not a given.

Thanks to recommendations, tips and great discounts in ads, we also live cheaper and with higher quality. Because of these few cents, the Hribi.net website can be so quality and information-rich. On TV, where there are really a lot of ads, no one buzzes and grumbles. So long live the ads on Hribi.net! As Daaam already mentioned, the usual choleric ones can turn directly to http://www.hribi.net/vip.asp.

Even on 24ur there are ads everywhere, on Facebook and in personal email they keep pouring in!, then it's all the same anyway.

After a few decades of living in a consumer society, we could have learned that ads are there to be ignored.

We can avoid ads everywhere. Radio and TV you just turn off then, on the mailbox you put that sticker, in email we have spam filters, from anyone who spams you you can demand they stop, you can even demand deletion of your data from their databases, on websites we also know how to block them but I won't say so my post doesn't get deleted again. At least 95% of them we can avoid. And of course ads are scams. They offer things that without them would sell half as much or not at all. But whoever still falls for them today... well, ads are mostly stupid on purpose so that part of the population with IQ at most 70, 80 understands them, who are anyway the majority of those who fall for them. Not just simplistic content, if you listen carefully also the language with simple sentences, primitiveness (e.g. using "ti"), everything is tailored to that target population. We live cheaper because of ads, someone said. I don't know why though, rather they act as market deformers, since then the one with the best quality-price ratio doesn't win but the most aggressive one with the most money for them. So in the long run they are more harmful, just like any interference in economic laws is harmful. But for us who don't consume them they are still good. We buy what we need and what we like. Others waste and thereby raise GDP and contribute taxes. We benefit from both. Actually we exploit them in a way.

....Bravo Tadej and Rok. And you've deprived some of pleasure, by deleting positive thumbs. Even if they liked the post, just the author wasn't right. Better this way, everyone still has two options, like the post or not. Majda

You definitely deserve praise. You've silenced the criticisms and now we're reaping only praise.

Maybe they could introduce an even higher level than thumbs up? Like 'hat's off' or for hikers and mountaineers 'cap off' We've criticized 'Helmet off' too many times already..

What about separate + and -? So that minus doesn't subtract from pluses?
