Well, let me report a bit from vacation with 8-month-old whippet Tango in Kranjska Gora last month: - evening walk to Koča v Krnici - from Planica to Dom v Tamarju and further to Črne vode waterfall (we were early and no processions in Tamar yet) - Mrzle vode valley (recommend really early start, as the valley heats up fast in this heat, to the meadow with hut at end of valley is about 1.5 hours walk, almost always alone and extraordinary views, next year to Prašnik saddle) - koča Zacchi from upper Belopeško jezero (up footpath, down road) - from Erjavčeva koča on Vršič to Vršič summit - trip to Reklanica valley, viewing waterfalls and Zajzera valley - evening walks to Jasna - swimming in Rabeljsko jezero (due to drought lower by about 3 meters and mostly deep water right away everywhere, sadly no characteristic shallows by shore this year) - in between some day for break Tango performed excellently and next year again, then more hills less valleys.

Polona, more info on how you arranged sleeping at Komna? Possible also at winter room. Thanks Otherwise noticed some slept with pup in winter room also at Koča pod Bogatinom, didn't ask details. We'd also like multi-day hike with dog sometime, if possible without disturbing others...

On Friday, Blue was on her first ski touring trip and performed more than excellently. The "behind" command is really worth its weight in gold We ski toured towards Vršič, start on 2nd serpentine, stopped at the 10th. On the way back we stopped at Aleš and Petra in Mihov dom to chat after a long time. I skied to the car in the glow of my headlamp. Super afternoon

I'm watching live webcams on hribi.net (Slivnica) and again I see someone sitting at the table with their dog next to them (on the table). Someone will eat or drink at that table. How nice? No wonder some of us are different. You have your dog at home on the table and in bed, but don't do that where you're not alone.

The topic is Where to go with a dog, so pictures from hikes with dogs should be posted. Please stick to that With Blue on Friday after work along the panoramic path to the 1st viewpoint bench. Higher up there's still snow, which is crusty due to sunny exposure and therefore breaks through. Also need to watch your step as the path is along the edge. Avalanches in usual places have already triggered, but something else might come down. Finish at Irena and Vilkot in Dom Čemšenik, as usual, where dogs are welcome

Where to go with a dog in the Dolomites? End of June we have a small apartment booked in Arabba, for 5 days. For us it will be a taste of the Dolomites, so first time, and Tango will be with us too. Looking for suggestions for tours in the near and far surroundings of Arabba with dog, in short, technically undemanding and not too long. We still need to get a map to better imagine all options around there. Any ideas where else to stop and walk on the way to Arabba and back? Until then we're all diligently building fitness, for the dog it will be the first real mountain season. Thanks for suggestions!

Yesterday we went to see the mill under Velika Ravna. I don't know these areas well. Nice places in Styrian parts. The mill is falling apart, if it was once a mill. Even vines grow a little below four hundred meters above sea level. The locals are friendly there. They offered me from wine to blueberry brandy. I stayed quite sober, otherwise I wouldn't have gone far.

@saram if the dog is on the table it's a problem, but mice, rats and other animals walking on it at night is not? It's logical not to put a sandwich on such an outdoor table if you don't wipe it first... Otherwise our Lili, who has hiked Pohorje from SG to MB and more.

I was waiting for the second part "Live webcam, who sits on the table". I thought it would be a sequel
