From Ljubelj past the hut at Zelenica, first to Zelenjak and then also to Palec. Up through the bushes, down the scree. Nice, finally no wind and with great views. On return, above, on and below Zelenica lots of children. No need to worry about the youngsters. And I treated myself to a combination of chocolate, walnut, blueberry and cheese strudels.nasmeh

I always feel good here, so I went up again. Under the dry bushes tons of gentians, and I also treated myself to blueberries. But it was quite cold and windy.

Us too, tinky. In the morning at sunrise a bit cold and windy, later ideal beautiful weather. Gentians have already wilted, the birds are already in the valley. There were few visitors in this area today.

Well, I went to check how much snow there is. To Zelenica along the border trail, further along the normal to the bushes, but I quickly rerouted to the scree. Along the path wind-packed snow that sinks in and poses no obstacles. Otherwise nicely spent the day, since I got coffee at Zelenica on the return.

...Palec and Zelenjak... This weekend was wonderful and a bit of scrambling on rocks just fits. On Palec there are two short snow crossings, otherwise the path to both peaks is as always varied and interesting.nasmeh

Winter has started, so I went to check if it's true. Already at Ljubelj it's clear, above Zelenica quite warm and no wind. First to Zelenjak, then to Palec. Peace, silence so much that my ears hurt. Met only 2 hikers. When going up, the cairn at the junction still stood, on return it was down. Really don't know who that bothers.

Bigger snowfield under Zelenjak, 10 maybe 15 m, can bypass it too. Didn't use crampons.

On the tracks ..Palec and Zelenjak ..nice day up there ..I set up a cairn and ... on return the cairn still stood...nasmeh

Hello, I'm wondering if there's enough snow for ski touring so I don't drag my skis unnecessarily. And what are the conditions through the Žleb. Thanks!

In the Suho rušje cirque there's rather little snow, higher towards the gully even less, almost bare ground.
