Description of mountain:
Matajur is a panoramic mountain located on the border between Slovenia and Italy. From the summit there is a beautiful view of Kobariški or Breginjski Stol, beyond which to the left the Carnic Alps and part of the western Julian Alps are visible, dominated by the Kanin group. To the east, Krn and the Krnčice ridge come into view, behind which Triglav's peak can be seen. To the southeast are the Golaki peaks, and to the south the Adriatic Sea, with Trieste's port clearly visible. A small church (chapel) stands on the summit, and nearby there is a panorama board with a summit register. The stamp is slightly distant from the summit, located on a rock about 10 m away.
