Monte Mataiur/Matajur

Description of mountain:
Matajur is a panoramic mountain, which is situated on the border between Slovenia and Italy. From the top, there is a beautiful view on Stol after which left from there we notice Carnic Alps and part of the western Julian Alps, where reigns the group of Kanin. On the eastern side we notice Krn and ridge of Krnčica behind which we notice the peak of Triglav. Towards the southeast we notice Golaki, and towards the south Adriatic Sea, where there we can nicely see port in Trst. On the summit stands a smaller church (chapel) and in its vicinity panorama board with inscription box. Stamp is a little distant from the peak and is located on rock approximately 10 meters from the peak.
