Ammersattel is a saddle at an altitude of 1115 meters in the Ammergau Alps. The saddle is located 12 km east-northeast of Mühl and 12 km east-northeast of Kreckelmoos. The nearest mountain hut is Fürchterlichhütte, located 6km south-southwest. A bit closer is Ammerwaldhütte, which is located 1.2km to the west-northwest. 8 km southwest of the saddle there is lake Plansee. South-southwest of the saddle is the valley Zwischentoren.
