The saddle is located in country Austria 8 km south-southeast from the center of Vent and 10 km south-southwest from the center of Obergurgl. The nearest mountain hut is Fidelitas Hütte, located 2km east-northeast. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 0.5 km east-northeast from the saddle there is glacier Kleinleitenferner, 3 km north from the saddle there is also glacier Firmisánferner. The saddle is located south-southwest of the valley Gurgler Tal. The saddle is located on the ridge Ramolkamm.
