Hohenwartkopf is 3308 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.5 km southeast of peak Kleinglockner. The nearest mountain hut is Erzherzog-Johann-Hütte, located 0.8km northwest. And bivouac Glocknerbiwak is also close by. 3 km east of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 0.6 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Hofmannskees, 1.2 km west from the summit there is also glacier Ködnitzkees. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Ködnitztal.
