Description:
Legerkogel is 2844 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 5 km east from the center of Plangeross and 6 km west-northwest from the center of Sölden. The nearest mountain hut is Rotkogeljochhütte, located 3km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak. 1.4 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Innerer Pirchlkarferner, 2 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Geigenkarleferner.
