Description:
Weißmaurachkogel is 3071 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located in country Austria 4 km east from the center of Plangeross and 8 km southwest from the center of Huben. The nearest mountain hut is Rüsselsheimer Hütte, located 1.8km west. And bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak is also close by. 0.8 km south from the summit there is glacier Nördlicher Puitkogelferner, 1.3 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Innerer Pirchlkarferner. The peak is located northwest of the valley Pollestal.
