Puitkogel is 3345 meter high peak in the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 3 km south-southwest of peak Hohe Geige. The nearest mountain hut is Rüsselsheimer Hütte, located 2km northwest. A bit closer is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak, which is located 1.6km to the south. 0.5 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Südlicher Puitkogelferner, 0.8 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Nördlicher Puitkogelferner.
