Silberschneide is 3343 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 0.7 km southeast of peak Hohe Geige. The nearest mountain hut is Rüsselsheimer Hütte, located 2km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak. 0.6 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Gletscherwanne, 0.6 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Innerer Pirchlkarferner. East of the summit is the valley Pollestal. The peak is located above the ridge Innere Wilde Schneide.
