Vorderer Daunkopf is 2879 meter high peak and is part of the Stubai Alps. The peak is located 1.3 km east of peak Hinterer Daunkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Dresdner Hütte, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Notbiwak. 0.7 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Daunkopfferner, 1.8 km north from the summit there is also glacier Großer Seeferner. Northwest of the summit is the valley Sulztal.
