The Belca-Jepca road is still closed, so we headed to Kepa via the path past Erjavčev rovt. The path is without issues, dry, winter gear not needed. Just a bit more attention and caution needed on the northern sections of the via ferratas, there's a little snow and ice there, but too little for crampons and ice axe.

Today finally great conditions for visiting the mountains. I decided to visit Palec. Already in the morning at home on the webcam I checked if there's any snow in the mountains, since yesterday they forecasted snow above 1600 m a.s.l. No snow, rock already dry in the morning, path without peculiarities, but the cross at the top confused me, which says "Zelenica 2026"!! What is this now, Palec or Zelenica??? Let someone enlighten me, please!

True winter idyll, "tamal" continues learning skiing at the ski slope by Sport Hotel, I have four hours to explore the surroundings. Today I chose Lipanska Planina. The path took me from Sport Hotel to the main road and then across Planina Zajavorniki (somewhere I saw Planina Javorniki). Path no problem, dry snow-powder, no ice. Quite a few visitors, 1/3 walkers - 2/3 tourers. Regards Matic

A beautiful morning promised a nice day, so we decided for Ratitovec. Starting point in Prtovč via the path through Razor. Path hard, frozen at the start until there is no snow, sometimes pure ice. When the snow starts it is first hard, later brittle. (recommend crampons downhill). Almost to the top calm, at the hut and further to Altemaver quite windy.

Today was a nice day on the trip from Planina Ravne to Veliki vrh. The last kilometer of the road to Planina Ravne is nicely white, but with winter tires you get there without problem. For the path I recommend crampons and ice axe, not much snow but icy in places.

Yesterday despite bad weather a quick trip to Pokljuka. Starting point Sport Hotel, past pension Jelka (very positively surprised by the renovation) then past Jelje pasture, then Konjska valley, pasture Na Pečeh and final goal Zajamniki. I walked on the "track" of snowshoers, which was already firm enough to go in boots. The whole way a little rain washed me, today supposedly snow above 900 m asl.

peter2, sorry my camera "died". But you can believe me, it's a real winter fairy tale.

On Saturday 16.2. I went for the first time with snowshoes from Rudno polje to Planina Zajamniki. Wonderful experience! Strenuous, but worth every drop of sweat. As MajaO already said, Pokljuka plateaus are surely a good choice. Regards Matic

Nice route you took, but planina za Crno goro is not on the picture. Maybe you took some other path?

Weather today wasn't the nicest so we decided Brana remains unconquered goal today. Despite that the trip was nice as Kamnik Saddle is full of flowers at this time.

Yesterday I did a circular tour Kriška Planina, Planina Koren, Vrh Korena, Kal Ridge, Planina Dolga Njiva, Krvavec and back to Kriška Planina. Conditions on the northern parts demanding - crampons needed, otherwise a bit of everything, sometimes snow holds, elsewhere it was sinking to the ass, especially among bushes.
