Greifenberg, 2,618 m, is a peak in the vicinity of Schladming, probably in the Schladminger Tauern group. Approach from both sides, Golinghütte or Preintalerhütte, is easy, and the most sensible is a traverse from one alpine hut to the other, so overnight in one hut (60 EUR half-board, where the price depends on what you choose from the dinner menu, 5 starters, 7 or 8 main courses, two of which vegetarian and 4 desserts; beer or wine is already included in the pricenasmeh, breakfast is the same every day with a fixed price).
The main attraction of the tour is the multitude of lakes and not just any lakes: they are really fascinating or in the local dialect unheimlich schönnasmeh And there aren't just a few, or seven, but more than ten.
Despite lying at altitudes between 2,000 and 2,400, it was still possible to swim at the beginning of September.
For the full experience, you have to go off the beaten paths, i.e. off the marked trail and explore a bit on pathless terrain. LocusMap with offline map helps, because there's no signal there, as befits an 'außerweltliche Landschaft'...

Perhaps the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites is located half an hour's drive from Bolzano.

@Chivas, where did you return from?

I'm interested if parking can be a problem on the weekend if you're not really early?

Path probably 636A?
Cable car probably already running?
Did you ask skiers where there's still snow for skiing?

Yesterday I did the route in the opposite direction mentioned above.
There are really a couple of unpleasant meters of descent on sand to hard ground in two places, not for everyone.
Somewhere in the middle there's even a sign that the path is closed, but there's a detour made there, at least 30 m up.
As I found out, the path is under the jurisdiction of PD Srednja vas, maybe someone can check directly with them?
Also, at the junction to Uskovnica from the path Vodnikov Dom - Studorski Pass (Rudno Polje) there is no sign or any other marking.

Technically it's not forbidden, but at the road junction towards Planina Konjščica there is a sign prohibiting traffic for all vehiclesnasmeh

@jbs, the little dog needed help twice for about two meters, first on ascent from first notch, second right on descent, probably on traverse under little Kepa.

On Saturday a wonderful tour, right at Srednji vrh was the snow line, higher about 15 cm of new snow on a little base.
Winter gear was not needed, although some had crampons for a better feel.
There was a bit of a problem if shoes don't hold moisture well, because there was lots of water on the path in the lower part, higher winter cold.
Up via Železnica, down via Blekovo planina.

On Wednesday to Kepa from Dovje direction, idea was traverse to Kresišče and down to Srednji vrh.
First part went super, at the last notch 15 minutes before summit, where path from Austria joins, there was one more uncomfortable part - soft snow on rocks, and somewhat exposed.
At summit one Austrian reported terrain to west (Kresišče) is demanding and he's changing plans and returning same path to Austria.
After longer pondering we also decided to go by (for us) new variant to Austria.

The Karavanke ridge above Martuljek really has a special charm.
Not particularly high, so we can admire the mighty peaks on the other side of the valley: Martuljek group with Špik, the ridge of Mojstrovke and Jalovec.
Relatively narrow: on the north side we have Carinthia at hand (yesterday all under cloud cover), on the south Gorenjska.
And two weeks in mid-autumn the most beautiful forests in Slovenia. If you're lucky, 5 cm of snow falls the previous day...

I vote for the establishment of a national park, full name National Park Rute!

Actually eight days ago, so it might not be relevant anymore this year if the forecasts for snowfall in the mid-mountains come true.
We did a nice circular tour Blato - Krstenica - Jezerski Stog - Eva - without Adam (which is close) - Prevalski Stog - cave under Debelim vrhom - Ogradi - Blato.
To Eva from Jezerski preval is about 50 vm with places of second difficulty climbing.
The cave surprised, you can go about 100 m into it with a slight descent. It's over 400 m deep, but that's terrain for professional cavers then.

On Saturday on Pokljuka around noon it was raining, then partially cleared. So almost could say no people beyond Blejska koča, if not for a bus of hikers from Zagreb appearing a bit below Debelim vrhom.
Route circular from Blejska koča: Mrežce, on to Debeli vrh above Lipanca and down lower path back to hut.

Just a comment on 2061alessio 5. 08. 2022, that the path is officially closed:
Today walked the entire Anita Goitan path, all fine, protections impeccable. Only marks are poorly visible here and there.
