Hello! I know that hribi.net has some descriptions of ascents to Italian and Austrian hills and mountains, but I'm wondering if there is any foreign "version" of the hribi.net website? One that has descriptions and approaches to mountains in that country... I'm tempted to go to the Dolomites a bit and maybe also to Austria, but I don't even know where to start and how to plan a trip outside of Slovenia.
Where do I look for route descriptions? On which websites or sources do you check the trail conditions? Which websites are good for checking the weather abroad?

If anyone who hikes in other hills/mountains besides Slovenian ones could describe their process a bit, I would be very grateful.

I've figured out it's worst where there's lots of leaves on the ground, but they appear even just like that. Most I've seen on Pugled, also on Ljubljana's Golovec, and last time on Svinjak...

When I mention it to others, they look at me like I've lost my head, 'cause supposedly no one's seen these nasty bugs.

Has anyone else run into these?? Or do I have some weird "luck" they only wait for me?

Well, today I went to try this idea and it would have been better if it had stayed at thinking. From Draga across Ledene trate the path was fine. Since I didn't feel like going by road, I took a shortcut that was obviously devastated by a torrent some time ago, but it was easy to follow and dry. A bit further from Sivora, icy snow started. For a while I still followed footprints on the path until the path started crossing increasingly steeper (and littered with fallen trees) slopes. Since I didn't have the proper equipment with me, shortly after the junction for Dobrča I turned back to safe and dry - Dobrča will wait. Since the path towards Prevale looked dry and good, and freshly marked, I headed there, where I stopped below Ukanov štruc, because the path climbed very steeply on some roots. At that point I no longer felt like tempting fate, I turned back for the second time and went back down towards Draga valley, this time along the road.

I'm thinking of going from Draga valley up to Dobrča, then along this path to Prevale and back to Draga. But I'm not sure about the section from Dobrča to Prevale, because one or two wrote that the path was so overgrown that GRS had to rescue them.

@Trobec, did you go along this path?

Hello! Does anyone know what the trail from Dobrča to Prevala is like? The last comment under the trail description is from 2023, saying that the trail is in bad condition. Maybe I'm a bit too optimistic that it's better now?

Congratulations on completing the trail! Too bad you didn't post up there, I would have gladly joined, because those areas interest me but bears make me nervous

How did you arrange logistics with transports to the starts and ends of sections?

Given how much shit was happening at Vršič (and everywhere else where folks can drive by car), it's almost high time they did something to reduce the sheet metal. Folks would shit by car all over Triglav if possible... and also in all those quiet corners in Slovenian mountains, but luckily they don't know them or there's no parking right at the hut where they can drive and make crowds and mess.

How's parking now at Petrovo Brdo?

Aha, I see that I mixed everything up.

But isn't this path closed because there are constant landslides and rockfalls?
