I'm wondering if Ivanji vrh above Iški Vintgar is even accessible? There's no path to it on the maps, but from the couch it doesn't look too far from the path. How is it in reality, on the terrain, has anyone maybe walked around there?

My friend and I have set ourselves the goal to climb at least 10 two-thousanders this year (mainly choosing the easiest accesses), and I'm wondering, on which trails does the snow melt first according to your experiences?

And if I want to park before the bridge (so a bit after the barriers) and go to the hut in Krnica? Does anyone understand how this will be implemented?

In June I took a friend over Škarjev rob who was on Storžič for the first time. If that had been the only option, she would probably have descended the same way back, but she didn't want that. The scree in the last half hour to the top was extremely unpleasant for her. Since the path through the gully was still open at that time, we descended there. But it was already quite annoying then, erosion does its thing. So maybe while ascending over Škarjev rob think about whether it will work going down, and if necessary just turn back. But it's really no big deal. Although it's scree, with a careful step it goes quite nicely down too

In four days, quite a bit of snow has melted, especially all the ice from the lake. The toads are making good use of that, mating in large numbers in both lakes; Dupeljsko Lake is particularly lively. I suggest tying up your dogs, as a close encounter with a toad probably wouldn't be pleasant for them. I leashed my little bitch at the last moment; she was very, very interested in what was swimming in the lake. But we also scared a (presumably) black snake on the shore so much that it jumped into the lake and swam to the other side to find its peace (and some froglet).

Is the lake making any sounds? A few years ago it was a bit more wintry than now, but much less than 10 years ago, the ice was cracking and that released such insanely good sounds. I can't describe them, but it was magnificent. And yeah, no doubt it will tempt me

Thanks turbo, we went personally to check the conditions up there. I haven't encountered such crowds of people even on Golica during the peak narcissus blooming! Crazy. And quite uncomfortable. Otherwise yes, the snow on the paths is well packed and holds, although it's already quite soft. The path itself does serve up a meter of ice here and there, but the crampons didn't seem necessary to us and stayed in the backpack, although 95% of the hikers put them on for the descent, and many also for the ascent. After this and the previous weekend, I've had enough of these "must go" variants for quite a while.

Has anyone been up there today? What are the conditions like? Is the path icy? Is it already (heavily) breaking through up there?

Today on Mala planina slightly windy, on the path from Stahovica already quite hot. The snow is rotten and sinks significantly. Today not a single foot stayed dry, no matter what someone had on their feet. It's nice up there!

Biggest thanks to all for opinions and advice. I'll report what we chose (this Sunday we ended up deciding for Velika planina).

Hi! Please give advice, which path to Uršlja gora would be the best choice tomorrow? That means safe and trodden ? I've been up only once, from Andrejev dom. Would that one do or is another more recommended?
