Well, that initial D isn't really easy... In my view the grade is realistic. Given that there's also a left, easier variant, I don't know why it should be even more selective for later sections that are substantially easier? Whoever goes for E must know what it means and have the appropriate experience. Regards!

How and with what equipment someone goes into the mountains is a matter of each individual. If someone relies on misleading recommendations from forums etc., then it's exclusively their problem. If they endanger their own life with it, that's their business, since head, legs and more are only theirs. But if due to improper behavior or equipment they endanger others, they must be aware of that responsibility too. If not, then it simply can't be the forum's or some third parties' problem.

This morning I was on Prisank. Up and down via Grebenska. There's still one snow patch on the way, above the window. It wasn't warm at all, wind was blowing and clouds were racing over the top. Best!

Well, it shows the other side too in picture and text. Plus much warmer days for quite a while...

Suhadolnik - Over Taška - Grdi graben - Kokrska Kočna - Jezerska Kočna - Zg. Dolci - Over Ovčje čeri - Kokrsko sedlo - old easy path - Suhadolnik. Almost dry to the top of Kokrska Kočna. One snow patch easily avoided, the other about two meters wide, before entering the secured section under the summit. Towards Jezerska Kočna only one narrow snow patch. On descent towards Trebušasta skala also just one snow patch. Crossed all without issues with ice axe, crampons stayed in backpack. Path towards Dolci practically dry. From Dolška škrbina towards Grintovec still lots of snow. Regards!

@jax: You misunderstood me a bit. Secured climbing path is kind of our synonym for ferrata or as you say "classic ferrata" that uses natural passages. Of course I agree with what you wrote and it holds. Regards!

@janezs73: Not exploiting natural passages is the ESSENCE of such ferratas. If you knew the topic a bit better, you could distinguish between secured climbing paths that exploit natural passages (there are quite a few here, also especially in high mountains), and e.g. "Austrian-style" sports ferratas, which are an end in themselves and not just a means for easiest overcoming of some wall. Today I did a nice loop above Jezersko. Due to some obligations I started late for my taste, just after nine. To Ledine via the Slovenian, then to the summit of Velika Baba via the climbing route. The path is nicely passable, here and there some softened snow, nothing special. Water was running on slabs, when I reached under the summit part of Velika Baba, a bit more of this new softened snow, but then the last part to the summit was better again. Descended via the ridge to Jenkova planina and then to the valley. At the start of the descent snow hindered a bit, as I looked for dry passages that were safer. Later ok. Nice tour with a nice end.

Today on Jalovec, this time as a "walker". Start at the ski jumps, then warm-up to Dom v Tamarju and on towards the glacier. In this "shady" part of the tour conditions for walking were quite pleasant, and it's trampled too. Since I knew conditions would worsen in the "sunny" part, I kept a steady pace and soon was in the sun at Jezerca. The pace paid off and at the entry to the marked path it wasn't so softened yet. So I progressed nicely towards the summit, but knew it's smart to turn almost immediately, as conditions were deteriorating. At the top I took a few photos and soon turned back, since descending in increasingly soft snow isn't pleasant. This paid off, as I descended to Jezerca in fairly similar conditions, then quickly went into the glacier and back to start. It was nice!

P.S: In such conditions I recommend an early start. Best to be at the top before 10am, as then everything softens a lot and water visibly starts running on rocks. Regards!

A couple of yesterday's photos from the afternoon ascent from Mač via Kališče. On the path there was ice in some places, so crampons were quite handy especially for the descent... Regards!

Vrata - Luknja - Plemenice - summit - Kredarica - Tominškova - Vrata. At the top it was pretty cold and windy. Higher up caution needed due to snow and ice on paths. On some sections I put on crampons. The snowfield on ZTP probably can be bypassed somewhere, but I crossed it and without crampons at least today I'd have slid away. From Kredarica to Vrata there's still quite some snow. Tominškova also has snow and ice on the path. Up to about 1700 m. At the summit I was alone - priceless. Others were before me and after too. It was great!
