Copying from another thread here:
Bad weather, still can squeeze some recreation for an hour in nearby hills, yesterday I was thinking a bit (ok I admit, this isn't a portal to discuss members), but anyway I'll write something about the topic ahead, I always have a pyramid in front of me (building a pyramid), started with easy ascents and progressed to harder ones (instead of 10 years I shortened it to 3.5 years), all descriptions on hribi.net are great and very helpful, no problem there (ferrates, very demanding paths, unmarked paths, winter alpinist ascents NO PROBLEM, some I, II jumps), but I want to build the pyramid further and construction almost stopped, no theoretical knowledge that's necessary for building the pyramid (aiming at alpinist routes in mountains...) I'd like to move pyramid building to the LAKE (will have to redo basics, my previous knowledge is almost zero). Is it even possible at almost 30 to switch from a hiker (now called planinec) to alpinist with prior theoretical knowledge, if you're not a born climber or alpinist from birth, various sport climbing at crags is good training, but I'm interested in mountains-mountaineering-alpinism, I'm afraid the pyramid will sink with a grim determined look, if I overdo it, I'll stuff myself with theory, practice, maybe I'll succeed smile anyway in the end I can continue building the pyramid and move it completed to the lake in a few years, since transport today is no problem.
P.s. Sorry for this, but it's already 0:30
