Today with my son on the Gradiška tour and then to Abram. The path is well secured, not for the vertiginous. Weather a bit windy and quite some sun. Nice greeting

Today I was also on the ferrata for the first time this year. Regarding those loosened stones that Primož mentioned, it's true of course - especially one right above the balcony when the path turns right and re-enters the rocks - there the key hold is completely loose. Careful. But otherwise you have to admit that as far as I saw, all such dangerous holds are in places where everyone already knew to watch out through the crumbly sections. The nice parts of the ferrata are still just as compact and enjoyable as before.
We descended via Konj and made a decent detour with that, but still ensured at least a bit more serious tour. It was nice.

For Gradiška now is the ideal time. A couple more days and lilies of the valley, irises, peonies and more will bloom, today the flowers already had buds and shoots. It wasn't fully sunny, but humid yes, just a little sprinkle and a rainbow appeared... Better than yesterday when it was raining, windy at the Lepenatka starting point and nothing was visible. The path is without special features, well marked, nice to extend it to the Abram Shelter (open) and loop back via Konj. 5-6 hours with some climbing at the start is a pleasant tour. Climbing areas were visited too, but no crowds.
The beginning of the secured path is adorned with a new bench1

From the parking lot at camp Tura (Gradišče above Vipava) I walked to the St. Nicholas crevice for warm-up. The path to it goes through a nice forest, past numerous climbing areas that were a bit crowded in the morning, then quite a few little martins in human form gathered. After this walk I stretched my limbs on the short but nice secured path on Gradiška tour and continued towards Abram. I returned the same way. Friends who were climbing under Tura in the meantime convinced me and I felt the appeal of climbing myself.

This morning I looked at the sky and towards Nanos least cloudy, decision made, going to Gradiška tour. When I parked, first ones from the wall already came, my decision was Furlan path and then return past the chapel and over Plaz back to start. Gradiška tour is a real botanical garden and all green, weather unique, at the end sun even shone, recommend!!

Today we climbed Gradiška tour together with granddaughters. Descended via Plaz. Flowers at this time a bit less, but we ate our fill of forest strawberries. It was humid, cloudiness even welcome, sun shyly shone only at the end. The younger one, who was on the tour first time, was thrilled.

Thanks grandpa, sounds so nice. And when you said what you photograph with, it became clear why I like the photos so much. Which I do; clear with natural colors. Panasonic is my first choice, though now trying with Canon.
To you and your youngsters many nice tours and safe steps.

I'd go up the climbing path to the top, but wonder if I can return to start via another path, namely climbing down doesn't appeal...greetings!

Take a look at the tour description and previous comments, it'll be clear. And on the ascent to the climbing path there are signs for the normal hiking trail you can use up and down...

Yesterday gale in Vipava Valley, so off to workout in shelter of Gradiška Tour, no wind in wall, on Tura summit blowing, then past chapel and through Plaz to Gradišče!

Quite a lot of talk lately about Gradiška Tour, so I said let's go check it out. From Gradišče via Furlan to the top. No time signs to Abram anywhere so I wandered quite a bit to the "coffee". Had to go back too. Down the easier variant. I liked the climbing, maybe a bit short. Had a nice day. Besides the waiter at Abram and two foresters, I met only two more hikers.

On Saturday, 14.12.2013 we climbed the climbing path to Gradiška Tour.
Did a loop: Gradišče - Gradiška Tour (Furlan path) - Abram - Chapel - Plaz - Gradišče. Tour took 7 hours with breaks.

Sunny day with great views velik nasmeh Whole tour super nice, path well marked.
Climbing section adrenaline rush, esp narrow ridge. Recommend via ferrata kit, safety first, gives more relaxed feel for inexperienced hikers. Helmet mandatory mežikanje

Every year about this time when slippery on rocks and ledges and most dig in snow, gotta do this path. Like pilgrimage. Today one mentor, two trainees, two apprentices and me. Dunno where I count. No other such group like ours, nice weather no crowds. Secured part exemplary as usual, pity so short. Apprentices did great, no pushing pulling consoling etc, seems they liked it. Next time they'll self-belay alone, that's progress. Top bit windy but held sausages apprentice brought for women's day, not bad. Back past chapel thru Plaz, passed three checkpoints. Warm blooming, right time for Gradiška.velik nasmeh
