Does DARS also block your car with concrete barriers at the rest stop on the highway? I understand if someone messes with foresters and they return the "favor", I understand that too. But blocking one car at the parking lot for Kam. sedlo I don't understand, because it wasn't obstructing trucks and they weren't leaving wood there either, but it seems obviously just for spite... do you understand? If you approve of such actions please explain why? If you want to close the road and have it only for yourself OK, just put up a sign or something like that... Spiting out of malice makes no sense

DARS is something else - that's a public road - that's the point - forest road is not public - intended for transporting wood to the valley. Hardened surfaces along the road are not parking lots, but turning areas for trucks or areas for depositing wood - the same goes for your "parking lot for Kamn. sedlo". Why do you think forest managers are obliged to build a parking lot and allow parking so you can go comfortably to the mountains? And foresters certainly didn't move the logs out of spite - if they were there with machinery, they were obviously extracting wood to the road - you counted at least the logs they deposited - maybe they couldn't do more because there was a parked car there?

Thanks, alpin! Yes, regarding wide angle, some pics taken with Sigma 10-20 mm, some with fisheye Peleng 8 mm. On Sunday no issues with logs, probably don't work on weekends? But I agree that some warning signs wouldn't be hard to put up if parked cars right at the cable car really obstruct foresters' work. Hikers can do a couple hundred meters more, right?

Roads can be used by others too, unless the forest institute sets a different traffic regime, i.e., no parking along the road etc... Otherwise if you think it's right to block a car and live in utopia that they couldn't put the logs anywhere else, you're dead wrong. One would understand such action if they really couldn't deposit wood anywhere, but that there's space on the other side of the parked car where they could fit 3x more wood, that's a fact that shows it's all just out of spite! Otherwise, hope I never see you parked anywhere on Jermance!

And some go on with the car, if I'm not mistaken there's a sign at the hut in Kam.Bis. prohibiting traffic in both directions, so no need to complain. Leave the car at the hut - quite large given the location - and go on foot.

You are stupid, one goes to the mountains on foot and not with cars. Even if there was a road to the saddle, I would still curse in the climb. Foresters are fine, just something wrong with you, probably in the head, to leave the car there where it's not needed.

I hope you hike to the mountains from right in front of your home doorstep! Otherwise, as a cyclist when I arrive in the mountains and where the bike can't go I push a bit, everyone stares blankly and is horrified. Good example is Velika planina from which they chase us people who start from Ušivca.
Not to mention touring cyclists who are according to PZS very unwanted and disturbing...
Cheers!

Tol car is for the city, don't whine how bad it is to park in mountains if you're such an idiot then stay in the city and don't comment on things of which you have no clue at all also wood has to come to valley sometime

I'm telling you, I hope that when you go to the mountains, the hike starts from your doorstep!? !?? Look! The first parking lot for Kamniško sedlo, right after the first little bridge, 100 m from the end of the asphalt has been parked for ages... And on the day when there are 2 cars parked there and 5x more space on the other side, around one car you find "nicely" stacked logs.... WHAT FOR? Do you understand. He parked somewhere so that he didn't obstruct anyone, no sign, do not park, because the space is for wood storage,... I'm not saying it's bad to park a car in the mountains (I consider myself a more considerate driver, I always park so that as many people as possible can park in the limited space...) And please no insults, because I also respect your lack of understanding of the mentioned issue... Anyway, I wrote that such situations happen and unnecessary nagging from the foresters... just as a warning. Anyway, if they block my car for me without any reason, I'll call home to bring me the motorcycle and I'll saw their logs into 10 cm rounds. I'll make time for that. Anyway: if anyone else comments something smart, ask yourself: Do you go from your doorstep on foot or by public transport to the starting point of the tour? Do you refresh yourself in the mountain huts with beer, schnapps, liqueur...? Then remember. I just provide important information and you criticize me how stupid I am not to go to the mountains on foot. Should I go to Grintovec on foot and walk 20 km to the starting point? If you're so loud and horrified by my actions, go to Jermance and preach to everyone who parks their cars there. I recommend a nice sunny day on the weekend, you can pour your disgust/frustrations/fear/lack of understanding/problems on many hikers/mountaineers and mountain lovers! And don't bother me: I always bring a bunch of trash down to the valley, because some people find it hard to carry an empty bottle down to the valley and such... it happened to me that I transported 5 empty 1-liter bottles from Donata... So! The bridge at Žagana peč is repaired. I advise against parking at the lower station to Kokrško sedlo, because the foresters have set up a cableway with which they bring wood from the slope. Park in such a way or ask the foresters so that the car is not in the way or that when you return from the tour, it is not blocked with logs.

tol I just want to tell you that this is a forest road primarily intended for wood transport. Otherwise we have to adapt to each other and consider that forest vehicles also drive on this road that need a lot of space for turning and driving on this road. So let's be patient.

@tol At the hut on the right side in Kamniška Bistrica there is a sign prohibiting traffic in both directions. Leave the car nicely at the hut and continue on foot.

So the sign also applies to trucks, machines and the like ? or not...and in Lj do trucks also drive where there is a no motor vehicles sign? Or do signs not apply to certain categories? I'm telling you, go when it's nice sunny weather to Jermance and be smart there! And under the sign there is another sign. If you know anything you know that signs are read as a whole not just individual "nice" parts... Or where there is a 40 km/h limit sign and below a truck, do you also drive 40 km/h? I'm telling you, go when it's nice sunny weather to Jermance and be smart there! I've concluded the debate about the road, I gave the info, if it's useful to someone OK, otherwise refrain from stupid comments! Or just go nag at Jermance...

Very little. But in some places a bit slippery, but still doable without crampons. Regards, Miha
