You do a big favor to a hunting dog or herding dog if you take it with you like this. These breeds are walking machines. Poor are those dogs whose owners humanize them. We have a cocker spaniel, he's been everywhere in winter and summer... Čukla, Špik - steep slopes, Kobariški Stol, Matajur, Dobrča, Storžič, Svinjak, Sleme, Tolsti vrh.... It's a pleasure to romp around with him, depending on the crowdedness of the mountains he is leashed or off-leash.

On Streha rocks peek out of the snow, whose height is approx. 20-30 cm, snow is hard, in my opinion wait for next snowfall portion for skis. Below Cojzova hut no snow.

Hi.
The view from Lj tormented me since the sun came out and there was no other way than to go check what the conditions are like. Everything mlubej says is true. The snow is very compact and not frozen and if anyone itches to go check it out it's necessary. I recommend crampons, there were really a lot of people today and they can comment on the state. A few more pics:

Today on Grintovec. End-Kokrsko saddle-summit and back same path. Beautiful view on top, moderate west wind and temp a bit below freezing. Worth mentioning snow only on last two ascents, in between some icy spots, especially bit below and above Kokrsko saddle. Recommend poles and microspikes if needed ice axe too. Trail nicely trodden, weather stays beautiful. Stamp and logbook nicely dug out so all accessible. winking

Crampons come in handy for the icy part.

That's how it looked yesterday on Grintovec. Start in Konec to Kokrsko saddle and over the roof to summit. Back same path to valley. Day was great and nice views far away. On top strong and cold wind blowing so I quickly turned back. Path icy in some parts so gotta be careful not to slip. Snow little anyway and no big issues. smile
