Does anyone know the snow situation on Jalovec from Flori up past the notch and down past the shelter below Špica?

Maybe this question will seem strange to someone and they'll immediately offer the answer: check the weather forecast. But, as always, I try to get as much information as possible about tomorrow's weather from various sources, but I'm still in doubt....confused Maybe someone can predict from experience what the weather should be like tomorrow around Jalovec.

If Igor is right, each gets one cold with nice foam, if Nejc is right, then each one of those warm ones to warm up properly...smile Thanks to both, though I hope Igor is right....

Well, I mean for Sunday, there'll be weather anyway, if not for Jalovec, then for something else. Is anyone else tempted? I'm going for the first time.
Not quite sure yet if really to Jalovec, because when I go alone, I decide only when I sit in the car.

Which path? I'm just too lazy to drive to Vršič alone, I admit, then I end up in Vratazadrega Now I'm pondering when, where, with whom, definitely somewhere.
Well, maybe we'll meet. If I don't get carried off to Rjavina.

Hello

My wife and I are going to Jalovec from Tamar (planning to start from Planica at 5, then up over Kotovo sedlo, down to Ozebnik and to Tamar

Is the reverse variant maybe better regarding difficulty?

See you at the top!

Better to go up over Jalovška škrbina across the Goličica wall and return over NW ridge and Kotovo sedlo back. Take at least one ice axe and auxiliary rope (passing ice axe) for crossing the gully trough in the couloir under Jalovška škrbina. Safer now with high temperatures and thin snow (I assume), crossing the gully trough under hollow snow cornice on firm terrain.
If not used to steep climbing with rare holds and pegs, approach and return over Kotovo sedlo more suitable. Nice tour!

Yesterday in good company from Zadnja Trenta to the top. Departure still in the dark to the hunters' hut, when dawn broke. At the small lakes surprised by falling rocks, then herd of chamois rushing over rocks to scree. Hikers who slept at Pod Špičko quite a few on top. Weather great, sun warmed us well. On return met many hikers who like us used great last September Sunday in hills. Safe to all.

My humble opinion is that to Jalovec from Tamar it's better to ascend via Kotovo sedlo and descend via Škrbina. The path via Kotovo sedlo is quite scree-ridden and poorly protected in places, so it's easier to climb up than down it, unlike the path via Škrbina where there's no scree. Helmet mandatory!

My humble opinion however is, don't do that. The path via Škrbina is technically quite harder, especially downhill.
