Today, as written above, we were on Jalovec. At 4:00 AM -10°C wakes us at the parking lot, so we step a bit faster, past the hut in Tamar we stepped less than 40 minutes later. Higher under Ozeznik, the reflection of a headlamp was already visible, slowly advancing towards the entry. When we step out of the forest, snow surprises us, which we personally didn't want: combination of icy slabs, wind-blown snow, crusty snow,... etc., mostly snow that sank up to the knees. We encounter this all the way to the top.

Up to the entry into Ozeznik we follow the footsteps of the predecessor, to whom we are very grateful, from the entry onwards we blaze the trail ourselves. Here strong wind joins the cold, further lowering the temperature. We can thank the wind also for the drifted trail. Upon exiting Ozeznik, the sun shines on us for the first time and the mood improves even more as truly beautiful and clear views open before us. The winter approach through the chimney is really not suitable yet, no snow even for a sample, so we renew the trail on the summer path area. Here let me mention a slightly more difficult section (at the fixed cables, which are currently sticking out), which was iced with a thin layer of ice. The approach along the ridge is really one of the nicer ones, the trail itself is nicely laid out with only one slightly harder traverse.

At the top we were rewarded with views far around. Surprisingly, it was less windy at the top than below and we could enjoy a bit longer. In short, to use Jure's statement: Superlatives in all respects. Jalovec is really one and only! Time-wise: 6 hours to the top from in front of the Planinska Velikanka (with all breaks and enjoyments), descent 3.5 hours.

First sincere congratulations!
Not wanting to doubt the difficulty of such a feat which I myself wouldn't attempt but...
does it only seem to me that the sixth picture is a bit edited?
It seems to me the horizon is some 15-16° rotated from horizontal position so everything is a bit more upright.

On the lower picture the horizon is level.
If I'm wronging anyone I apologize in advance.

Yes, all those of us who were on top today won. I expected worse wind, but the wind also failed. I remembered the forum debate on crampons. If I had some ala Mount trackzavijanje z očmi on the Planica-Tamar route, I would be total kingvelik nasmehvelik nasmeh. Once I messed up badmrk pogled

@nurmaln

Author of that "controversial" pic is me velik nasmeh Quite possible I didn't press straight, at -19 with double gloves I'm not the most reliable photographer velik nasmeh Anyway not to make a mouse into an elephant here and brag that I was on Dhaulagiri nasmeh. Everyone knows how it is on Jalovec, will know what that traverse behind is. But you rated well the declination of actual state from photo, in my opinion you nailed "to zero". You have an eye for it, they say at home.

@spider

On the way back we two also rock'n'roll danced on the road to Planica and you won't believe - we remembered "those small" crampons zavijanje z očmi Did we meet yesterday?

@otiv

Nice rhyme, thanks!

It was finger licking (a bit because it was really nice, a bit because it was so cold) velik nasmehvelik nasmehvelik nasmeh

Hahahahaha, next time tug my sleeve and we'll go to some "that dewy one" in the valley so we won't smart-mouth too much in thin air velik nasmeh

Crazy thing yesterday, right? On the way back in Ozebnica I wasn't sure anymore if I was on Krvavec or under Jalovec, so many skiers there were! But for the gullies I was first on each one separately! Awesome ...

We met Klemen Purkart on the trail, everything checks out as he wrote, fantastic day on Jalovec, insane views, sea right there in your hand, meteorologists were slightly off forecasting strong wind, thank God there was none, just occasional gusts that weren't anywhere near predicted. Day was almost perfect for the ascent to Jalovec.

Yeah, lots of us met yesterday on Jalovecbig grin
But right now, the summit approach is way more annoying than in the past three years. Lack of snow does its part.

I'll also soon upload some pics nicely here as soon as I get the camera back in my hands to upload pics to the computer nasmeh]]>

and nice greeting to @SnowLeopard:
"Yes, no panic, that's how we must stick together in the mountains; see in our description how quickly something can happen."

Jalovec was under my feet for the second time this time; pity the chimney wasn't made, because just that I wanted most to climb again; maybe some other time. The most interesting for me was seeing the ship on the sea velik nasmeh velik nasmeh velik nasmeh !

If the chimney is nicely done you surely save one hour on the ascent to the top. From the chimney you climb out under the roof, there is a traverse to the right and then along the roof to the point on the ridge which is 5 min from the top... The chimney is optimal if škripovc, if there is ice it might be annoying...

@Klemen Purkart: "Higher under Ozebnik the reflection of the headlamp was already visible, slowly advancing toward the entrance."

That was me mežikanje

"All the way to the entrance into Ozebnik we followed the footsteps of the predecessor, to whom we are very grateful, from the entrance onward we pulled the trail ourselves."

From there onward I am very grateful to you two for overtaking me so I could then walk in your footsteps velik nasmeh but I had to hurry quite a bit after you to the top of the Ozebnik, because the wind was filling them up right away mrk pogled
That you two were really very fast I can confirm too, because you two were already on the way down the ridge when I was just ascending toward the top zadrega mežikanje

@brucke: Hi to you too and thanks again for the company (descent) on the iced rocks mežikanje
