Hand washes hand ... it was easier for us anyway because we were two and could alternate in trailbreaking. Though, hand on heart, the lion's share was done by Jure a.k.a. ratrak

@SnowLeopard: very nice pictures @jferlan: thanks for the advice, I think we all know that Jalovec is not exactly a joke, right?

Something interests me , you climb Jalovec from the south side because there is currently little snow, go by the summer path, north is too difficult, on Triglav we climb from the north side because the snow is transformed and hard, bonded to the base, south side snow softens midday, south-facing and water flows-drips on rocks. If I think a little, Jalovec from south side midday is quite risky ascent, so you must be very early while snow is still somewhat hard.

Yeah yeah, the pictures are really phenomenal . Jalovec in winter conditions is science fiction for me , must be really thrilling. But kudos to you, you're good . Good luck and stay safe onwards.

Jalovec is indeed specific, but definitely in given conditions not suitable for beginners. With experienced it's pure pleasure and "must see - must do" ascent.

SnowLeopard your photos are beautiful and these from Jalovec, as well as all others on the given link, I'm wondering which camera they were taken with because they are really fascinating. Best regards

Well, I doubt that such vibrant photos came from 550d... There are two options: Either you post-processed them in some program, or you cranked up saturation and more in the camera itself, so they came out like this. Such boosted colors are unrealistic, especially from DSLRs you don't get such colors... Cheers!

That's boosted to heaven, almost a botched HDR came out of it

Nature is beautiful as it is, in fog or sun, dude! But Avguštin, where is that chimney by which you save one hour, if the ascent on the normal route is only 40 minutes? Cheers J

I have the same camera and the colors don't come out anywhere near like that, with fairly normal settings.

Keko...the photos are computer-processed that's why the colors are like that. If you have the right measure you can improve the photo a bit (not always!), but if not then the colors become too artificial and you can see from afar that they are "pumped up" in the wrong direction... well, some like it, most don't!

Guys: this is not a photo forum. Everyone can post pics up there, which we can praise or stay silent.

panda, it was just a question from one of the forum members how he got such "interesting" colors.. then a debate developed on natural and unnatural colors... besides, Rok and Tadej had plenty of work deleting comments that's all.. so not worth words.... ascent definitely praiseworthy!!! rest (pics) every eye has its painter...
