@matdra thanks for the congrats. As for snow, there's not even a speck, nor icy slabs . Despite rain on Monday, rocks weren't slippery (well at least not from our route), caution is definitely needed. I sincerely wish that you reach its summit, it will welcome you, but won't let you conquer it probably . Good luck and safe travels .

From Zadnja Trenta to the bivouac under Špička.
The path is maintained, well marked and undemanding .
When the little sun bathed the mountains in beautiful glowing light  , we headed to Jalovec.
For the so-called king of the mountains we wanted to take time and get to know and experience him in all his beauty.
We walked very slowly, took lots of photos, admired the views and the mist gathering more and more in the basin, giving the look of a sea around us and that made this special day even more charming.
We reached the top with negligible ease and felt like feathers, yes, Jalovec is really beautiful, somehow special.
We stayed on the top quite a while, we really weren't in a hurry, why run away from such magical moments, views, beauty, since you simply can't see and experience this so often.
Not long ago I rediscovered Jalovec from Koritniški Mangart, now I know why, as Dr. Julius Kugy from Trenta still gazes at it and not in vain

Yesterday I too proudly stood on Jalovec for the first time. Start at 5.45 from Vršič, up through Jalovec saddle, down through Špiček and back to Vršič. Path wonderful, maybe missing just some sign, marking, especially for those wandering there for the first time. Certainly not the last time. All fears due to crossing the ridge were gone in a moment, really no bogeyman, but not for the vertiginous, which applies overall to Jalovec.
Weather was as you could only wish. Morning starry sky, forenoon sky without a cloud, afternoon mists racing, creating magic and unforgettable views.
Question for experts: wall you have to climb between Jalovec Saddle and scree in upper part is Goličica? If memory doesn't fail me, Igor Z. marked it short and sweet, if talking same wall, I give same rating. Really pleasure.
Zvončica, you beat me with your post. Yesterday we were together on top. Really pleasant company. Also Bojan and I safely returned to Vršič.
Where did sign tablets on path to/from Vršič disappear?
