Yesterday (Saturday). The ridge and ozebnik are just right hard, in the chimney there's too little snow in my opinion. Unless you like drytooling  Regards

It's quite enough if there's ice in the chimney and the roof is snow-covered. You don't need more.

This morning already very early from Planica (left the car at 2:45) heading to Jalovec through Ozebnik. The path to Ozebnik in excellent conditions: snow hard and, since someone had walked the path before me, nothing sinks in (whoever it was, I thank from the heart as walking was much less tiring and faster that way). In Ozebnik it was windy, which increased the amount of falling rocks-HELMET! From Ozebnik I arrive before seven, so the ice in the chimney is still perfectly frozen. On descent the sun was already shining (8:00) but the path still OK. A friend who descended two hours after me said the ice was melting in a few spots and not 100% safe. Unfortunately no low clouds like mlubej, and photos also much less professional  , but still excellent tour to beautiful peak.

Hi. Hiked to Jalovec summit. Through Ozebnik south, higher firmer base with some new snow. At least yesterday it was like that.

Yesterday Loška Koritnica - Loški žleb - Jezerca - Summit and back in the reverse direction.
Could say optimal conditions for this ascent route.

Just got information, mandatory winter gear. There's still a lot of snow, it seemed to me.

From Zapodna to Mali Kot. Looked a bit under the Goličica wall, which is bare, but then didn't want to deal with extreme scree and went to Jalovška škrbina, descended to Ozebnik. Rock to snow transition now optimal, but over time extreme scree larger and transition harder.
On snow put on crampons and climbed to Jezerca, some snow further, then it runs out, stowed crampons, but didn't need them to the top as mostly bare, only just before turn-off to Kotovo sedlo short snowfield crossed with ice axe.
Descended ascent route. Saw people coming to summit also from Kotovo sedlo direction, maybe someone writes about conditions there, surely snow still in at least three gullies on path. Lower under Ozebnik still nicely snow-covered.

Has anyone been recently on the Zadnja Trenta - Jalovec route? Is there still any snow or other issues? Interested in both variants, over J. škrbina and past the špička. Thanks.

On Sunday 10.7. from Trenta through the Goličica wall. Snow before wall entry. Same on Jezerca. Then path to top bare. It was warm so went without winter gear. At lower temperature wouldn't go. Path from Jezerca to Špička bare.
