I completely agree with "sklešč", better to mark certain paths e.g. on Briceljka. Someone will probably claim again that it's Triglav National Park and so on. But doesn't Jalovec belong there?

Approximately like this, the lower part is on the NE side and is not visible.

Thank you. For years it's been an enigma to me, and a friend who long ago walked only half of that path (from K. Sedlo to M. Jalovec) thinks it's one of the most beautiful in the J. Alps.

It really is the most beautiful and that's why it's also in the symbol of PZS (Alpine Association of Slovenia)

KNAFLIČ marks are meant to show visitors a safe path, yet accidents still happen, in most cases it's the human factor, somewhat equipment and one's own judgment of abilities. As for the marks, let's be glad we have a section of path markers who renew them to the best of their abilities, and not only those, also path renewals (steps, cables etc.).

Yes, path markers are jacks-of-all-trades on mountain paths.

This year a tiny bit later than usual, but nice again this time. Classically on the shortest path from Zapodna to TNP hunter's hut, then to Mali Kot (Jalovška škrbina) snowfield under Goličica wall is small this year, almost no bottom crevices, ice axe very recommended. Over Goličica wall it went like buttered, you barely warm up and it's already the end, then snowfield to Vrh Jezerc, couloir nicely snowed, path still officially closed. From Jezerc follows snowfield that can be safely crossed only with ice axe, then to summit dry. Descended via Veliki Ozebnik towards Špička. Since shelter still closed, turned right away and slid down on snow towards Trenta. Some (3-4) fallen trees across path, otherwise nothing worth mentioning. Shelter under Špička opens Monday afternoon.

Igor, who decorated the top of Jalovec so nicely with a pine branch? Today I watched borovce first from Strunjan, then from Portorož, later even on foot to Piran cape from Spužva pub, next to diving society where is Punta pool. Here is the cleanest water, because of strong currents, warm and cold ones.

Twigs of juniper were brought to the top by someone in memory of their friend or female friend, who I don't know.

No ramp anymore, that's true. But there's a No Entry sign. Except for landowners, for GRS, for the hut keeper in Tamar. Fine was 40€ last year, rangers were frequent visitors in Tamar. Just so, as a warning and for info.
