How about the road to Suhadolnik? Is it maintained and drivable - no 4x4 needed nasmeh

Video report from hike Suhadolnik - Kokrsko sedlo - Dolci - Kokrska Kočna - Jezerska Kočna - Grintovec. The path is interesting and probably very scenic. nasmeh

I was in fog the whole time. Road to parking lot, about 100m before Suhadolnik farm, is normally drivable.

Kočni-Grintovec-Kalska g. (12.01.20)

Path to Kokrsko sedlo without any issues, you can put on crampons on the scree. At the caves, prepare winter gear and continue over Ovnove čeri. To Kokrska Kočna super base. Ridge to Jezerska Kočna also has super base, but avoid the summer path and traverse lower, then go directly up to Jezerska K. Predecessor did so. The base is so good that it is passable in many places. Descent via the gully to Grintovec. Perfect here. To Kalska along the summer path, climb to the saddle and traverse to the summit. Return via the hunter's path.

Well, thanks for the rating; this description was the hardest of all I wrote for this portal, because it is really quite complicated exploratively, to the saddle under Mali vratci is "wild", obvious orientation landmarks are few. Copying Habjan makes no sense, his is also loose.
As user redbull already said and you consistently note (although with a bit of terminological confusion), over Mali vratci there is actually no need to go, which I emphasized in the description, but Habjan suggests exactly that - it increases the difficulty, the descent to the notch is somewhat awkward.
I must note that Mali vratci are not a saddle (as the name might otherwise suggest - but see the similarly named peak Vratca on the other side of the Kočna massif), but rather the actual summit above the saddle (ref. Habjan: Brezpotja, https://www.gore-ljudje.si/na-kocno, http://xn--pepoti-ckb.si/tocka.php?id=4591 etc.)

Perhaps somewhat unimportant, but if the perspective of a slightly harder-to-reach summit spurs someone to an extra traverse, that's fine too nasmeh

Gašper, yes, I believe it wasn't easy to give the route description. There are a couple of photos from key spots - when you spot the scene you know you're on the right path nasmeh

Regarding Malih vratc I was already a bit in a dilemma before. On one map I really saw it marked as peak above the saddle. And I thought it was a mistake nasmeh

Dejan, thanks, I searched only "forum Kočna", didn't check if the route is already entered. So maybe it really makes sense if admin moves it. That jump had unusually good rock - for Kočna nasmeh

From the foggy sea to warm sun. From Suh dol (above Suhadolnik) through bushes and grass to bivouac and then to the top of Kokrska Kočna. Sunbathing, lounging and back on approximately the same path. Weather and conditions simply paradisiacal...

On Sunday with partner to Jezerska Kočna from Czech hut. Path without features. Weather wonderful, summit just right temperature with little wind that prompted thoughts of windbreaker. Plenty of visitors. Return with stop at hut that shortened the way to beer quite a bit. jezik

Hi, how is access (difficulty) to the summit of Križ(2485m) from Kokrska Kočna? No path marked on maps, only alpinistic ascent via SW ridge described.

Mostly walkable on quite scree terrain, but north side of course big exposure, anyway stick to south side.

Or you interested where to go up?

Yesterday I visited both Kočnas via Suhadolnik-Taška-Grdi graben-Dolška škrbina-Jezerska Kočna-Kokrska Kočna-bivouac under Kočna-Grdi graben-Suhadolnik.
Descent from Kokrska Kočna really nasty. Surely won't descend here at least next 10 years velik nasmeh
